We never know when that just right video will hit but when it does, we’ve gotta soak it in. One video this past week has been viewed over 200,000 times now, mostly on Facebook. Hundreds of comments and all the rest. 500+ new followers. What a rush and ride and deep pride in the work I’ve done to get here. I’ve been texting my close friends along the way but felt this milestone at week 1 was the right time to pause and celebrate!

I tested out a new design and I’m still deciding if I’m happy with it or not for use in workshops. The tiny snowy mountaintops are challenging. I don’t want my students to be frustrated! Trying out a variation (or two) today.

We will be at the next Mending Lab teaching people how to sew and repair clothing, linens, backpacks, and anything else that can be sewn! I’ll be there with my fall patches. 😁

Full credit for this idea to on IG. She makes adorable scrap fabric creations like fairies and bunnies and so much more. I’ve been wanting to try this approach with some of the Kinusaiga fabric scraps and learned a lot today. Will keep at it to find a process that works for me. But I’ll be using these pumpkin patches at the next Mending Lab at BlackRock Center for the Arts!
