Happy 4th of July! 🎆🇺🇸 Pet Fix will be closed to the public today.

Rocco and Iggy also wanted to remind everyone: the safest place for your pets during fireworks is inside, in a quiet and secure spot at home. Loud noises can be scary and overwhelming for animals, so plan ahead to keep your pets calm, safe, and at home. Enjoy the festivities!

Thank you for bringing Bonnie and Jessie in today! ❤️

Ten year old Bonnie and eleven year old Jessie were all smiles today at Petfix Savannah. The extended hours on their vaccine clinic allowed us to have their yearly vaccines and heartworm test done in lickety split time at a very nominal cost. The dynamic duo are still seeking a forever home. Visit https://www.petfinder.com/dog/jessie-bonnie-74735162/ga/savannah/grrr-ga-rescue-rehabilitation-relocation-ga765/ for information on the sweet girls.

Pet Fix is Expanding Vaccine Clinic Hours! 🐾

Starting Monday, April 7th, our vaccine clinic will be open 6 hours per day, Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM—a big jump from our previous 2-hour schedule!

This expansion means more flexibility and access for pet owners needing:

✅ Routine vaccines
✅ Heartworm and flea/tick preventatives
✅ Testing and diagnostics

This change comes as one of our incredible veterinarians, who has performed nearly 5,000 surgeries each year for the past four years, transitions away from surgery to focus on wellness care and supporting the animals in our shelter.

🐶🐱 What this means for surgeries:

We’re temporarily moving from two surgeons to one, which will reduce our surgical capacity for now. Some appointments have unfortunately been rescheduled, and we deeply apologize for the inconvenience. Please know we’re working hard to bring in additional veterinary support and will be reaching out to reschedule affected appointments as soon as possible.

We appreciate your patience and continued support as we navigate this transition and work to meet the evolving needs of our community and the animals we serve.
