This choir is directed by Amy Cochrane and its members are children 6-15 years old from the Genesee Valley area of NYS. The choir has premiered works by composers Ken Kruzer and Glenn McClure.

Exciting news!! Isabel Granger will be taking GVCC for the semester. She just finished singing a concert with Brian Stokes Mitchell on a concert honoring Emmy Award movie score composer Mark Watters. If you haven't done so already let your singer know. First rehearsal is this Sunday.

🎭Meet the Cast of the Secret Garden! 🌷💐

Quinn Kenyon (Mary Lennox) is delighted to be in The Secret Garden. Quinn has been singing with the Genesee Valley Children’s choir for 8 years and is entering 9th grade at Avon High School. Professional credits include Gypsy (Baby June u/s) at OFC Broadway, School of Rock (Summer) and Ragtime The Musical (Little Girl) at JCC CenterStage, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Dixie) at The Company Theater, A Christmas Carol ‘22-’23 (Turkey Girl/Want/Cratchit Daughter & Fan Fezziwig daughter) at Geva Theatre, Rise: A New Rock Musical (Chaya) at JCC SummerStage, and La Boheme (child) at Finger Lakes Opera. Quinn is grateful for this opportunity to perform and would like to thank all her previous theater/music directors and parents for their support and encouragement.

As director of this group I coldn't be more proud of this years ensemble. I am so moved by the commitment of this group to what they are doing and to each other. They sang so beautifully at 2 different gigs yesterday! At the Warplane Museum we honored the era starting with the Star Spangled Banner then following up with Lollipop, Heavenly Aeroplane, a blues number and Pure Imagination, ending with a promo for All aboard for Ararat with Gianna Cucchiara's solo and Two by Two. Then the weather cooperated for us. It got its down pour and chaos over, and just as our performance time approached it cleared up and the air was fresh and the flowers were gorgeous and the group out did themselves yet again.

We had so much fun!! One more performance this afternoon. Come join us!

Come see us!! There are two opportunities on May 17th. We will be at the Flying Objects, a kids fun day at the Warplane Museum singing some nice "bops" to highlight the era of some of these historic planes. Included will be Heavenly Aeroplane, and Lollipop as well as a sneak preview of our performance at the Linwood Peony Festival of All Aboard for Ararat.
