Genesee Creative Collective

Our mission is: To inspire and support the creative arts and community in the Genesee, Idaho area.

We aim to see local creative entrepreneurs thrive, pursuing their passions and contributing to a vibrant community. The Genesee Creative Collective (GCC) is a nonprofit organization founded in January 2024 by a passionate group of local women with a vision to enrich our community through artistic and cultural development. How We Achieve This:
• Nurturing Local Creators: We bring together local art

ists and creators, fostering connections and collaboration.
• Promoting the Arts: We work to grow appreciation and patronage for arts and creative endeavors through various events and programs.
• Supporting Small Businesses: By establishing venues for sales, offering marketing support, and drawing patrons to Genesee, we aim to boost the growth of local creative businesses.
• Offering Educational Opportunities: We provide workshops, classes, and creative spaces for learning and connecting.

We are going to hold a Community Meeting on April 23rd at 6:30pm at the Senior Center to discuss local business ideas! This is open to the public to brainstorm and collaborate. Please attend if you have any interest in creative events and businesses in Genesee.

Great news! The calendars are READY and they are beautiful!

The calendars will be available for pick-up after December 8th at the Genesee Community Library and at the P1FCU Genesee Branch bank during their respective open hours.

As a note: Our next calendar photo contest will open in September of 2026 and we will have a theme! The theme will be "Barns, Buildings, and Silos". So keep a sharp eye out throughout the year for the beautiful structures we have on the Palouse.

Our Annual Calendar Photo Contest is live!

This calendar and contest have been created to highlight the photographic talents of Genesee residents, and to showcase the beauty of the Palouse. As such, applicants must be amateur photographers and have a Genesee mailing address or call Genesee their homebase - i.e. children attend school in Genesee or workplace is in Genesee. Photos must be of the Palouse region.

Up to 3 Photos may be submitted per applicant and must be color photos in digital format. Please submit your highest quality digital files: photos must be large enough to fill an 8x11 calendar page - 300 dpi or 3300x2550 pixels. Photos must be in LANDSCAPE orientation to fit the calendar page.

Photos must feature the Palouse region, landscapes, buildings, industry, flora or fauna throughout the seasons. Emphasis on the seasons will be appreciated.
(Photos with inappropriate content will be automatically deleted).

Entries must be received by October 1st, 2025.
Photos will be judged anonymously by a panel.
Winners will be announced by November 1st by email and on social media.
Winners and their photos will be featured on the Genesee Creative Collective page and website, and included in the calendar. The calendar will be available to purchase for the 2026 year by either pre-order or at the Genesee Christmas Craft Fair on December 6th.
