Forced Vaccination 😂👍
Stepping outside and spotting 2 puppies of which we knew had only received one round of shots end of August.
Getting the ‘gear’, running outside, yelling at the next pedestrian to help and hold it and ‘pooooof’ …. vaccined! 💉 🩷💉🦠

Yesterday Tammy lost one of the dump pups to parvo, and today Eshan from Freckles and Tomcat Rescue lost Olivia to what nobody has seen coming. 🥹
Olivia entered our memorial lane joining her dad Oreo, which has left us in August.
Seeing them so together we are even more convinced he is her dad, besides seing him with her mom.
Rest in peace little Olivia, we will not forget you and keep you always in our hearts together with the many others. 💔

Sad update, the dump puppies have parvo, one had to be put to sleep, the other is still fighting!
Get your puppies vaccinated the moment they are weaned of moms milk! And they need a total of 3 rounds, 3-4 weeks apart, after that once a year. Just one shot doesn’t protect them.
You know where to go, you know who to ask!
It takes just a freakin moment each shot to safe those little lives and slow the spread.
It’s in the soil, the p**p, the blankets, you think of it and it will be there. Your hands from petting one and then the other.
Please, let’s start to be smart and stop this ‘oh I get the shot somehow next time’ attitude and then be shattered when it gets ill and nobody has the money laying around for the expensive treatment needed then.

You all keep Olivia in your prayers! She turned 3 months today and was mauled by 3 dogs in Lodge Grass. We got the call and ran her to the spay clinic in Billings for help. Let’s hope she gets out of this!
Update
All of her guts were pulled out and checked. There were 2 spots damaged, so the leaking parts were cut out and sewn back together. This is a major surgery for such a lil peep. 🫣
Olivia is staying with Freckles and Tomcat Rescue now to receive the best possible aftercare. Her chances are 50/50 at this point, so let’s all hope she pulls it off. ❤️‍🩹
A big thank you to the amazing vets and vet techs volunteering for Spay Montana for taking Olivia in.

When your life threw lemons in your face right at the start, you certainly don’t expect anything better coming your way. 😭
There were puppies spotted at the dump and 2 were already retrieved. It wasn’t clear which dump in LG, so checking one yesterday, today we were lucky and snatched another two.
Pulled out from underneath a piece of plyboard covered with trash bags and tarps. 🤮
Screaming and biting, even their tremendous flea infestation seemed to start fighting me. 😂
Thank you Bethyana, Shannon and RaeDawn for helping to turn everything up side down in a radius around where we found these two. No more were discovered as of now.
These two will be heading to town soon to Tammy & Hamsterboy to join their siblings (?) from yesterday. Looking at them they have to be reprogrammed how nice life actually can be if you don’t have to live underneath a pile of trash. ❤️‍🩹😎

Winter is close! ❄️
Luna starts to regrow her winter tires. 🛞
We are getting better with the cats outside and prefer to have a view on all 3 together, typical herding dog. But still on the leash, the cats are feisty, they are from Lodge Grass too. 🐈 🐈‍⬛
Inside she is guarding all day the bed room door (2 cats inside there) until mom comes home.
Eating well and no more diarrhea events since on lamb based food and probiotics. Her system seems to be back to normal after weeks of chemo.
Still on Heartworm preventative until the next test, then we see. Great condition, no coughing or shortness of breath, she wants to run but still can’t.
Her funny little limp (more like a butt cheek swing) is gone since we added some joint supplements to the daily diet.
She came a long way and turned into a total different character, a 🤡 in every bone, but affectionate and deeply bonded, smart and responsive to commands.

Watched over a week a squirrel 🐿️ crossing the road to look in the drain for seeds or anything. Ran him back into the park, up the tree, but guess he was too hungry.
Day later found him dead on the road 😭
During the clinic in the Multi there was a squirrel, they are sooo amazing!
Had already picked a bag 🥜 and 🌽 and today spotted another squirrel 🐿️ luring over the edge of the road across the office.
Well, now it has food and can stay over there safe!
So if you see a squirrel 🐿️ maybe help them out a little. Not much came out this year during that early warmth and late frost in spring. They are hard working to gather for winter, and probably won’t find enough.

Does anyone know someone in Pryor who could help out with crates (dogs) and carriers (for cats) to haul to the clinic??? Please!!?🙏
