The original name was "Scottish Clans of North Texas, in Dallas, Texas". Our Mission is to share and further Scottish culture! The purpose of the Society is to share and further Scottish culture. To that end, the Society sponsors a annual St. Other Society activities involve participation in the North Texas Irish Fest at Fair Park (March), the Texas Scottish Festival and Highland Games in Decatur
(May), the Plano International Fest (October) and finally the Gathering of the Clans and Highland Games in Salado (November). In addition the regularly scheduled activities listed above, we participate in multi-cultural events for schools and civic organizations. We can bring a contingent of members (with the gents in kilts, of course) the a regular meeting of your social or civic organizations and present a program on Scotland and impact of Scottish immigrants upon North Texas, our state as a whole and our nation, since the earliest of colonial times. When arranged far enough in advance this can include demonstrations of traditional Highland dances.
