DISTRICT 3 TOWN HALL

As I prepare to host our next District 3 Town Hall, I would appreciate hearing from you about the issues and topics you would most like to see discussed. Your input helps ensure that our conversation reflects the priorities, concerns, and interests of the community.

At this time, proposed discussion topics include:
• MD Health Pathways
• DART Transportation Systems
• EMS Service Alternatives
• 2026 Tax Swap Proposition
• Harbor Point – Future Destination Development
• Wynn Joyce Park Project
• Introductions: Garland Interim City Manager Mike Betz and other staffing changes

These topics represent ongoing and upcoming matters that may have a direct impact on District 3, but this list is not exhaustive. I welcome your suggestions.

Please email your proposed topics or questions to [email protected]. Your engagement is essential to a productive and informative town hall, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Councilman Ed Moore selected his friend and campaign supporter to be appointed to the newly formed All Abilities Commission, telling multiple qualified candidates that he had already chosen someone before the application period even closed. Basically told them they were wasting their time.

This is not intended to discredit the appointee - he is a wonderful contributor to Garland. But there were multiple other applicants with intensive experience relevant to this commission. Mr. Moore chose to ignore that for a favor.
