Galveston showed up for our songwriters and now it’s time to celebrate the release of the winning song “This Is Galveston.” by Kai Derrick and Gracie Merriman. 🎙

The We Are Galveston Release Party is being built around Kai and Gracie, the music, the story and the community that helped bring this moment to life.

But this night is also about shining a light on other local artists, musicians and creatives who are part of this growing movement.

Seeing people out and about wearing We Are Galveston shirts will never not be cool to me.

Last night I ran into this lady and she told me her and her husband wear their shirts all the time and are even taking them to Chicago to represent Galveston.

That’s crazy to me but in the best way.

What started as an idea is turning into something people are proud to wear and be part of and that means everything.
