Artists!! Our call is OPEN!!! Get busy on finding your inspiration!
The Art League of Baytown has been awarded $7,250 from the Port Houston Grant Program for “Art and the Ship Channel”, a new fall juried art show highlighting the coexistence of nature, communities and industry along the Ship Channel.
“Art and the Ship Channel” is accepting 2D, 3D and photographic
artwork. The source of inspiration for your art should come from public parks, green spaces and
communities within three miles of Port Houston Ship Channel waterways. Subject matter sparking your imagination could include: Wildlife, ships, industrial
landscapes, workers in action, fishing and land stewardship projects.
Artwork must have been completed within the past five years.

The 2nd Annual Old Quarter Songwriter Festival is coming to Downtown Galveston!

Join us November 12th - 14th for three days celebrating the art of songwriting, storytelling, and original music.

Presented by Old Quarter Acoustic Cafe and ARTS Downtown, this intimate listening-room festival brings together songwriters from near and far for heartfelt performances, acoustic brilliance, and the stories behind the songs.
