Anna here 🤍
The last few weeks have only gotten harder and heavier. Job is now having spells where his oxygen drops rapidly into the 40s and 60s with anything he does, other than sleeping or being held. Mama Whitney is at the hospital every day making sure he is okay, alongside an incredible team of doctors and nurses who are taking such amazing care of him. His surgery has been moved up to next Tuesday, and as that day gets closer, we are holding on tightly to hope and prayer.
We ask so deeply for your continued positive thoughts and prayers for Job as we head into this surgery, and also for his care team — the doctors, nurses, and everyone who is pouring their hearts into caring for our sweet boy.
We also want to say a tremendous thank you to everyone who has shown us love and support in so many ways. Our small community continues to amaze us, stepping up and surrounding people in need. That kind of love and generosity is something truly special, and we feel so blessed to be wrapped in it during this time. A special shout-out to Melissa and Emily, your kindness and generosity means more than you know. Please keep sending pictures of the window signs being made today for our strong boy — they lift our spirits more than you know and will go in the special memory book we are making him.
Job continues to defy the odds, and he isn’t stopping here. He is our strong, handsome heart warrior, and in one week he will be recovering from what we pray will be the biggest and most intense surgery of his life. One that he will luckily not remember.
Because of all your love, prayers, and support, Whitney and I are getting through this — day by day, breath by breath. Even through the sadness, tears, anxiety, and stress, we keep pushing forward toward better days, held up by all of you and the Lord above. 💙
If you have reached out and we have not gotten back to you, please forgive us and know we have read your messages and feel the love. Thank you again.
