Yesterday NMSU Tribal Extension 4-H Agent Shellby and NMSU McKinley County CES FCS|4-H Agent Patricia attended the W.K. Kellogg Foundation Gallup Grantees Luncheon, hosted at the Gallup Children's Museum. As recipients of the Rural Indigenous Youth Entrepreneurship in the Trades (RIYET) grant, we enjoyed networking with fellow grantees and learning about innovative programs supporting youth throughout our communities.

RIYET helps young people explore skilled trades, entrepreneurship, leadership, and career pathways while building skills for the future. We are excited to continue creating opportunities for Indigenous youth across our region!

The museum has been well loved and well used this summer from 160 hours of summer camp and 70 extra hours museum hours! We are closing the museum this week for maintenance and cleaning so that the museum is in tip-top shape for the fall season. Thanks for understanding and sorry for any inconvenience! See you again on July 30th!

Tinker camp day 1 was a success! Mazes were made, rockets were built, and hover straws fastened! The best part- these amazing makers who add so much fun and personality to the day! Tinker camp registration is full but look for Mess Fest and Color camp in the weeks ahead!

This Thursday, during our Sensory and Storytelling Stop, Dairy Queen will be giving out free ice cream to all participants!
