Happy New Year everyone!

This is a bit of a late post. Due to spending time with family during the holidays and dealing with some illness we are behind in posting about how the Holiday Gift Drive went for the season.

Let me just start by saying we have witnessed God work in amazing ways these past few weeks. Somehow, every year, we pull this gift drive off and are able to provide gifts for the kids on our list. It would not be possible without everyone who contributed to this drive in any form.

This Christmas season, we had 66 kids on our list to get gifts. We had over half of our list of kids within the first 3 days of our drive. With the generosity of our friends and community at Galesburg Christian Church, those who sponsored a child or a family, anyone who put gifts in our donation boxes, delivered items to us personally, or donated monetarily, we were able to provide gifts for every single child on our list. We appreciate all the shares, and those who helped spread the word about the drive as well. This drive would not be possible without all the help we received so thank you to everyone who had a hand in this drive in any way. You made this possible.

For the first time since we’ve started doing the Holiday Gift Drive, we held a wrapping party to wrap all the gifts for the kids. It was a major success and we had a blast with it. We’re so thankful for our family, friends, and community members who came out to support the Tyeler Allen Foundation.

Another thank you goes to the businesses who agreed for their business to be a drop off location. These include Pamp’s and Grow at Eden. We appreciate your willingness to help out each year. Thank you!!

We have officially crossed the 50 children threshold. This year has been harder on families and we’re seeing an increase in families coming to us because other events are filled up.

We could use any form of donations to help these families the best we can. Be it by buying toys, money donations or even if you’re interested in sponsoring a family.

Our 4th annual Holiday Gift Drive is starting on Monday and will go through Dec. 17. Donations can be physical gift items or monetary. If you want to donate physical items, they can be dropped off at Pamps in Galesburg or at Grow at Eden in Parsons. You can also reach out to us and we’ll meet you to get the donations if needed.

Within the next week or two, our 4th annual Holiday Gift Drive will be starting. As we begin our drive this year, we wanted to put some information out there.

If you are someone looking to donate, we wanted to make it known we’ve had an increase of clothing and hygiene item gift requests. While many other items are necessary as well, we just wanted to talk about things we’ve seen over the last couple of years. Basic need items are being asked for quite a bit along with traditional gift items.

Need for wrapping paper/wrapping supplies: We provide many parents with wrapping paper for the gifts we disburse to families. Wrapping paper and wrapping supplies are always needed if that’s something you wish to donate.

Additionally, if you can share our name, posts, and information, we would truly appreciate it. We are growing more and more each year, but there is still a great deal of folks in our area that do not know we exist. Currently, we serve the SEK area. If you know of a family who could use some help this Christmas, please contact us. Below, we will list our contact info or ways to get a hold of us.

This is a late post, but just wanted to say thank you to those who came out to support the Tyeler Allen Foundation this past Saturday. The 4th annual pancake breakfast was a success.

A special thank you goes out to the volunteers who gave their time to help with this event. We couldn’t have done it without you. Another special thank you goes to the Galesburg Christian Church for letting us host our event in their building for the 4th year in a row. We truly appreciate it.

This is a late post since it’s been a busy week. With the generous donations we received, we were able to provide gifts to each family on our list. This year, we had 35 children we were able to provide Christmas gifts for.
