God Gets the Final Word ❤️
Last night at Made For More Ministries, we were blessed to have Beth Buffington come and preach a powerful message about the labels we carry from our past, and the importance of speaking life over ourselves instead of death.

Beth reminded us that throughout Scripture, we see people who allowed their circumstances or their past to become their identity.

She shared examples like Gideon and Jonah, and how the world around them could have labeled them as fearful, weak, broken, or defined by their circumstances. But God saw something different.

God didn’t call Gideon by his fear. He called him mighty warrior.

God doesn’t define us by where we’ve been, what we’ve done, our failures, our addictions, our mistakes, or the labels others have placed on us. He calls us by who He says we are.

Strong.
Righteous.
Chosen.
Redeemed.
Loved.
Forgiven.
Made new.

What a powerful reminder for our community that our past does not get the final word, God does.

We are so thankful for Beth for pouring into our men and women and reminding them to stop agreeing with the labels of their past and start speaking the truth of God’s Word over their lives.

This is what happens at Made For More. ❤️

Lives are being changed. Identity is being restored. Men and women are learning who they are in Christ and discovering that they truly were made for more.

Thank you, Beth, for saying YES and investing in the community God has entrusted to us! 🙏

We had an amazing time yesterday!❤️🔥

What a blessing it is when people choose to pour into our residents and show them that recovery is more than simply staying sober, it’s about finding community, joy, purpose, and hope again.

A huge thank you to Blaine Gossett and Maria Gossett for loving on our people so well! They provided some of the most amazing barbecue we’ve ever had, shared a powerful word, and created such a beautiful time of fellowship and community.

And the BAPTISMS! 🙌🏼💦

There is nothing like watching people who once felt hopeless publicly declare that they have been made new in Christ. Watching them go down into that water and come up proclaiming that their old life is gone and they are walking in a new life with Jesus!

“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Corinthians 5:17

It is absolutely incredible to watch the community rally around people who once felt like they had no hope. People who once believed their story was over are now discovering that God is not finished with them yet.

This is what recovery looks like.
This is what community looks like.
This is what redemption looks like.

The old is gone. The new has come. From death to life. Chains broken. Hope is restored. Lives are being transformed.❤️🔥

We are so grateful for every person who chooses to come alongside us and remind our residents that they are loved, they are worth investing in, and they were MADE FOR MORE. 🙌🏼

Idolatrous lust.

A want can become a need, and that need can become a demand, until it begins to control our lives and we convince ourselves that we cannot be happy without it.

It may be affirmation. Control. Success. Money. Respect. S*x. Safety.

These things are not always wrong in themselves. The problem comes when a good desire becomes a controlling desire, when we want something so badly that we are willing to sin to get it, sin when we don’t get it, or manipulate everything around us to keep it.

“Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: s*xual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.”
Colossians 3:5

Sometimes we say we serve God, but if we are honest, we are only serving Him because we think He is going to give us what we want.

We don’t love Him simply for who He is. We love Him for what He can provide.

But freedom begins when we are willing to honestly confess:

“Lord, I have believed I can’t be happy without this.”

And then surrender it.

Steps toward freedom:

1. Confess it.
2. Repent.
3. Make amends where necessary.
4. Bring it into the light and share it with someone trustworthy.
5. Replace the lie with the truth of God’s Word.

What have you allowed to become a controlling desire in your life?

Because nothing not affirmation, money, success, control, relationships, respect, s*x, or safety was ever meant to take the place of God.

Only Jesus is enough. And true freedom comes when we surrender the things we thought we couldn’t live without.🙏🔥

🔥 KEEP THE FIRE BURNING!🔥

Tonight, Jack preached and brought the FIRE of the Holy Spirit!🔥🙌

He brought a powerful word on what it means to keep the fire burning, because what God has placed inside of us is not something we can afford to let grow cold.

The fire represents our passion for Jesus, our hunger for His presence, our obedience, our worship, and our willingness to keep saying YES to what God is calling us to do.

The fire doesn’t stay burning by accident. It has to be tended to. We have to stay in the Word. We have to pray. We have to worship. We have to surround ourselves with people who stir up our faith. We have to remove the things that are trying to smother what God has ignited in us.

Don’t let the fire go out.

Protect what God has placed in you.
Fan the flame.
Stay hungry.
Stay surrendered.
Stay close to Jesus.

Because the world doesn’t need a church that is barely glowing, it needs people who are BURNING for Jesus!🔥

Thank you, Jack, for bringing the Word and reminding us tonight to KEEP THE FIRE BURNING!

🔥 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Romans 12:11

Made For More isn’t just about recovery. We believe in restoration, transformation, discipleship, and a life completely surrendered to Jesus.

And tonight THE FIRE WAS BURNING!🔥🙌

🔥 Jesus, I am ALL IN!🔥

What a powerful word tonight from Pastor Timothy Price!

He preached from 1 Kings 19:19-21

When Elijah threw his mantle on Elisha, everything changed. Elisha didn't just talk about following God he burned the plow. He slaughtered the oxen, destroyed the very tools that represented his old life, and removed every possibility of going back.

That question hit my heart tonight:

Are you just talking about being all in.. or are you actually living it?

So many of us want freedom while still holding on to the very things that keep us bound. We want God to move, but we hesitate to fully surrender.

If you truly want to get free
🔥 Burn the plow.
🔥 Turn away from your old behaviors.
🔥 Surrender every area of your life to God.
🔥 Give up control and trust Him completely.

God isn't just looking at our words He's looking at the intentions of our hearts.

Complete surrender isn't always comfortable, but it's always worth it. When you let go of what you've been trying to control, you make room for God to do what only He can do.

The same God who called Elisha is still calling people today. The question is will you leave your plow behind?

No more excuses.
No more backup plans.
No more looking back.

Jesus, I'm all in.

There is something so powerful about what God does on Wednesday nights! 🔥

Tonight Pastor Craig Stone preached from Philippians 3:13-15, reminding us that if we are ever going to walk into everything God has for us, we have to stop living in what He has already delivered us from. Our past is not our identity. Our failures are not our future. We cannot keep looking in the rearview mirror and expect to move forward into God's promises.

One question hit me hard tonight: The devil is a liar! So why do we keep believing his lies instead of believing the truth of God's Word?If God says you are forgiven, then you are forgiven. If He says you are redeemed, then you are redeemed. If He says you are a new creation, then it's time to stop wearing the labels that Jesus died to remove.

The enemy wants to keep you chained to shame, guilt, fear, and regret. Jesus came to break every chain and call you into freedom. The only voice that deserves to define your life is the voice of the One who created you.

And what a night it was! Three precious souls surrendered their lives to Jesus! Heaven is rejoicing, and so are we! There is no greater miracle than watching someone cross from death to life.

I absolutely love our Wednesday night services. Every single week we see lives being changed, chains being broken, hope being restored, and hearts awakened to the goodness of God. Revival isn't just something we pray for, it's something we're watching God do right before our eyes.

Lord, keep moving. Keep saving. Keep healing. Keep setting captives free. We will never grow tired of watching You transform lives.

"But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal..." Philippians 3:13-14

The Great Commission wasn't a suggestion, it was a command.

We are so thankful to be home after serving in Central America. Every mission trip reminds us that there are still people in this world who have never heard the name of Jesus. That reality never stops humbling us. It is such an honor to share the hope of the Gospel with people who desperately need to know they are seen, loved, and valued by God.

One thing we always want people to remember is that the Great Commission doesn't just happen in another country. It happens right here in Georgia too. You don't have to get on a plane to be a missionary. You can love your neighbor, pray with a stranger, share your testimony, serve your community, and be the hands and feet of Jesus wherever God has planted you. The mission field is everywhere.

I also want to give a huge thank you to our incredible staff who faithfully held down the fort while we were away. Thank you for loving our residents, serving with excellence, and continuing the work God has called Made For More Ministries to do. Because of your faithfulness, we were able to pour into people in another country knowing our program was in good hands.

Mission trips don't just change the lives of the people you serve, they change you too. They stretch your faith, remind you how big God is, and encourage your heart in ways that are hard to put into words. Every time I go, I come home with a greater appreciation for what God is doing around the world and a renewed passion to share Jesus right here at home.

Whether your "go" is across the world or across the street, don't miss the opportunities God places in front of you every day. Someone is waiting to hear about the hope that changed your life.

"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few." Matthew 9:37

Let's be willing to go wherever He calls.

Tonight was a beautiful reminder that recovery is about so much more than meetings.

Jenna showed up with dinner, an ice cream bar, and games, but what she really brought was love, joy, and community. She gave these women something many of them haven't experienced in a long time, an evening of laughter, connection, and simply being together.

Recovery isn't just about breaking free from addiction. It's about learning how to live again. It's about building healthy relationships, creating new memories, laughing until your stomach hurts, and discovering that life can be full without the things that once kept you in bo***ge.

We're so thankful for ordinary people who choose to love an often-overlooked community. The women in our program aren't "damaged goods" or "discounted." They are daughters of the King who have been set apart for His purpose.

The world may have counted them out, but God has called them out.

Thank you, Jenna, for reminding these ladies that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved. ❤️

There are idols all around us. Sometimes they're obvious, and sometimes they're hidden in plain sight.

This week, Brent preached a powerful message on tearing down the idols of pride, s*x, drugs, image, money, and anything else that competes for our hearts. Throughout Scripture, we see people who either chose to worship the one true God or allowed idols to steal their devotion, and the outcome was always the same.

An idol is anything we place above God. It can be a substance, a relationship, our reputation, success, comfort, or even ourselves.

God isn't interested in being down on a list of priorities, He is worthy of being our everything. He alone deserves our worship, our obedience, and our hearts.

The question we all have to ask ourselves is: What sits on the throne of my heart?

"Little children, keep yourselves from idols." – 1 John 5:21

May we continually lay down anything that competes with our devotion to Jesus and choose to serve the one and only true God.
