The hospital approved our TNR program in early 2011. As of Janu
ary 2023, we have trapped/captured 95 cats on hospital property, and found homes for 56. If you would like to help, and/or be part of our feeding and care team, please let me know. Our biggest achievement was finally capturing Calico Mama in 2015. She had 24 kittens between 2010 and 2015! No cats have been born on hospital property since then. The universal sign of a feral cat that has been spayed or neutered is a "tipped" left ear. While the cat is asleep for their surgery, the vet clips the tip end of the left ear. This allows us humans to know who has been spayed/neutered and who has not. Our only exception to this was Calico Mama..... the vet forgot to tip her ear!
