Do you have ideas to improve your favorite (or maybe not-so favorite) themed attractions? Come tell us how at our next TPED social!

If you’d like to participate, prepare a short presentation describing which attraction you’d change, why you want to change it, and what changes you’d make for it to be even more exciting. If not, feel free to come and just listen to other member’s amazing ideas.

The event will be on Wednesday, April 1 at 7:30pm in Weimer 1094. Hope to see you there! 🎢

Daryl Kirby, owner of Kirby Family Farm, an educational farm for children and families to enjoy and learn more about the world around them while still entertaining the whole family. Kirby Family Farm hosts several events throughout the year including special events for Halloween and Christmas.

Daryl will be joining us to discuss all of the great themed entertainment work Kirby Family Farm does as well as share a bit about the road he took to get from playing in the “bone yard” of old train parts as a child to owning this family destination with a 100+ year old steam engine for families to explore.

He has built his professional career in the themed entertainment and immersive experiences industry, bringing a strong technical foundation and creative mindset to complex audiovisual, lighting, and show control systems. He collaborates closely with his creative, engineering, and productive teams to help bring attractions and experiences to life through thoughtfully integrated technology.

Andrew attended the University of Florida, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication, laying the groundwork for his work at the intersection of storytelling, technology, and guest experience.
