The June Family Market drive through distribution will be Tuesday the 23rd. The location is in South 8 th Street beside the Health Department in East Gadsden. Distribution starts between 9 and 9:30. This food is made available through a partnership with the Food Bank of Central Al. Please share with others in need.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: The May drive through food distribution will be this coming Tuesday, May 26th. This is the Family Market distribution in partnership with the Community Food Bank of Central Al. The time is between 9 and 9:30 and location is at the trolley station on South 8th Street in East Gadsden beside the Health Department.

I want to thank our local postal workers, Jamie Cranmer, First Baptist Church, our partner agencies and all of the volunteers yesterday. It was a great day…with wonderful weather to help families in our county have the food they need.

The Stamp out Hunger Postal Food Drive is tomorrow from 10 to 6 at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center. It looks like we might have rain for a while in the morning so know you can drop off food donations there if you do not want to leave it out by your mailbox in the rain. Please help us as we strive to Feed the Hungry in our area.

A reminder that this Saturday is the Stamp out Hunger National Postal Food Drive. Please place food items near your mailbox or drop them by the First Baptist Church downtown on 5th Street. We will be at their Family Life Center on the Walnut Street side from 10 to 6. We will be glad to see you and it will help your carrier if you can drop it off. Thank you for your support of the Etowah Community Food Bank.

This Saturday, May 9, you can take part in the nation’s largest one-day food drive — and it’s as simple as stepping outside your front door.

Just place a bag of non-perishable food items by your mailbox, and your letter carrier will pick it up and deliver it to help neighbors facing hunger right here in central Alabama.
