For your Friday night enjoyment 💫

Chi was adopted and he's fallen hard for his new dad, and dad is head over heels 🧡

He went home with his favorite stuffy - the pink money, and his monkey friend made reaching the top of the stairs a little easier 😎

Chi's story started in the womb with USDCR. As one of three males, he was birthed by our beloved Aloka, named for the famous dog who accompanies the Venerable Monks in the Walk for Peace.

Our Aloka was one of many small breed dogs in a hoarding situation in Rowan County NC. In collaboration with Rowan County Animal Shelter, we were able to pull this mama very close the day she would give birth.

Chi was the last of this little terrier/chihuahua mix family to be adopted and this new love story between dog and human is simply the chef's kiss 👌

💔 They couldn’t save Duncan from cancer. But his story is now saving other dogs.

Losing Duncan left an unimaginable hole in the hearts of the people who loved him most. In the midst of that grief, they chose to create something meaningful: 𝗗𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆: 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝘆, 𝗡𝗲𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺.

This program helps devoted dog owners access essential care like spay/neuter services and rabies vaccines; because no family should have to choose between loving their dog and affording basic veterinary care.

Every donation helps keep pets healthy, families together, and more dogs safe in the future.

☀️ Summer should mean sunshine, playtime, and puppy naps… not waiting for a safe place to go.

Basil, Ash, and Poppy are adorable lab/husky mix puppies hoping for a chance to come into rescue, but we can’t say yes without foster homes first.

Fostering saves lives. 💛 We provide support, guidance, and vet care. You provide a temporary safe place filled with love, belly rubs, and maybe a few backyard zoomies.

Can you be their summer hero? Even a short-term foster changes everything for a puppy in need.
