Statement from Texas Panhandle Livestock and Agricultural Disaster Relief Fund

For the past 17 weeks, Texas Panhandle Livestock and Agricultural Disaster Relief Fund has remained committed to supporting farmers and ranchers affected by wildfires and drought across six states: Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, and Nebraska.

During the first week of the devastating Meade County, Kansas wildfires, our organization was able to coordinate and deliver more than 400 round bales of hay to ranchers in Meade County and the Fowler, Kansas area. These emergency deliveries provided critical relief to agricultural producers facing tremendous losses and uncertainty.

Today, our greatest challenge is not securing hay donations—it is securing the funding necessary to transport those donated resources to the families who need them most. Fuel costs continue to be the largest obstacle limiting how much assistance we can provide.

Through our established hay banks and a network of dedicated donors and agricultural partners, we have the ability to continue moving substantial quantities of hay and feed in the weeks and months ahead. However, this mission depends on the financial support needed to cover transportation expenses.

We respectfully ask the residents, businesses, and supporters of Meade County and the surrounding agricultural communities to consider supporting this effort. Much of the funding that has sustained our operations thus far has come from generous donors outside the region. Local support is now vital to ensure we can continue serving the farmers and ranchers of your community.

Every donation, regardless of size, directly helps move life-sustaining feed to livestock producers impacted by wildfire and drought. Together, we can continue providing hope, assistance, and relief to the families who feed America.

Thank you to every donor, volunteer, driver, rancher, farmer, and organization that has stood beside us throughout these ongoing disaster relief efforts.

🚨 The Need Continues — Our Ranchers & Farmers Still Need Us 🚨

Friends, neighbors, and supporters — the reality facing our ranching and farming communities across the Midwest and Southern Plains remains heartbreaking.

With ongoing drought conditions and devastating wildfires, many of our ranchers and farmers are still fighting every single day to keep livestock fed, operations moving, and family legacies alive. While generous donors have stepped forward to provide hay and agricultural resources, the cost to transport these lifesaving donations continues to rise — and the numbers are staggering.

At Texas Panhandle Livestock and Agricultural Disaster Relief Fund, we are still actively helping move much-needed hay and supplies to affected areas throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, and New Mexico. But we cannot continue this mission alone.

⛽ Fuel costs remain one of our greatest challenges.
Every mile traveled means hay reaches livestock in desperate need. Every donated dollar helps keep trucks moving and hope alive.

🙏 We are asking for your continued support. Whether large or small, your contribution helps offset transportation and fuel costs so we can continue delivering critical aid to the backbone of America — our farmers and ranchers.

We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to every donor, volunteer, partnering organization, business, church, trucking company, and community member who has stood beside us during this mission. Your generosity, prayers, time, equipment, fuel, and unwavering support are making a real difference in the lives of families who need it most.

As Scripture reminds us:

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2

❤️ Together, we are neighbors helping neighbors.
