This last weekend was a success. There were tons of people who helped make it so. The purpose of this event was to celebrate the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit’s 50th anniversary. We were honored to partner with so many great companies and people who donated time, money, and resources to help us make it a success. We had a sudden forced change of plans due to rain but we worked together and pulled it off. Thank you .electric .tactical and so many more! We couldn’t have pulled it off without you!

We wrapped up today’s event successfully! Tomorrow kicks off with the gates opening to the public at 8 am. Although we didn’t get many pics of handlers and their dogs in action, here are some of them receiving their awards. This weekend we’re hosting teams from 23 agencies! Can’t wait to see all of you out there tomorrow! Remember to bring chairs if you would like to spectate in comfort.

The day is almost here! Bring your friends and family out on Saturday and watch nearly 60 K9 teams compete! You’ll have the opportunity to interact with the different units the Sheriffs Office has. There will be food and beverage trucks so bring an appetite as well! If you haven’t been to the Clovis Rodeo grounds then make sure to bring a chair because the bleachers are mainly cement. Although the arena is wet the weather looks like it’s going to be a nice day for spectators. Can’t wait to see all of you out there!

The time has come for the public release of our limited edition FSO K9 challenge coins and belt buckles! The money we earn from this will go directly to helping us host our upcoming 50th anniversary K9 trial in February 2026. The K9 trial will be free to the public. You’ll have the opportunity to see working dogs competing in action and you can interact with various specialty units within the Sheriff’s Office. If you’re interested in supporting us in this endeavor, reach out to us here! Challenge coins are $20 each and the belt buckles are $50. They’ve been selling fast and inventory is limited so reach out ASAP if you’re interested!

Today is K9 Sparrows birthday! He was born November 11, 2020. He was partnered with Deputy Carrasco on November 5, 2024. Sparrow is a Belgian Malinois who is trained in the Dutch language. Help us wish K9 Sparrow a happy 5th birthday!
