Bakersfield has once again been ranked the most polluted city in the nation — and for too many families, the effects of that pollution are felt every single day.

In Kern County, 1 in 6 children lives with asthma, and for many, simply breathing the air outside can lead to dangerous asthma attacks and emergency room visits.

At the Central California Asthma Collaborative (CCAC), we see this reality firsthand. Our team continues to provide in-home asthma support, community education, and air quality monitoring to help families protect their health while advocating for cleaner air for everyone.
