In celebration of Juneteenth, CCAC offices will be closed on Thursday, June 18 and Friday, June 19.

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the resilience, freedom, and contributions of Black communities across our country, including right here in the Central Valley.

We encourage our community to take this time to reflect, celebrate, and support Black-owned businesses and organizations near you.

We will return to the office on Monday, June 22. Wishing our community a meaningful Juneteenth.

Bakersfield has once again been ranked the most polluted city in the nation — and for too many families, the effects of that pollution are felt every single day.

In Kern County, 1 in 6 children lives with asthma, and for many, simply breathing the air outside can lead to dangerous asthma attacks and emergency room visits.

At the Central California Asthma Collaborative (CCAC), we see this reality firsthand. Our team continues to provide in-home asthma support, community education, and air quality monitoring to help families protect their health while advocating for cleaner air for everyone.
