Last week 6 North and Foothill FFA members traveled to the United States Capitol to participate in the Washington Leadership Conference. πŸ›οΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Students were able to dive deep into leadership workshops about how to serve our community and each created a β€œLearning To Serve Plan”. This is a developed plan for how students will serve their community in the upcoming school year. They were also able to help package over 65,000 meals for the Meals of Hope foundation.

While also in the nation's capital students were able to reflect on the commitment to service at many National Memorial Monuments. Students were able to explore agriculture at the United States Botanic Garden. Visited many Smithsonian National Museums and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. We also took a trip over to Arlington to visit the 9/11 Memorial at the Pentagon and visit the Arlington National Cemetery and visit the tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

We are so proud of these leaders for their dedication to their growth and to serving others!

Thank you for creating these experiences for our students!

Also, shout out to Ms. Juarez from West FFA for helping chaperone our trip!
