Even though we may have snow in the mountains this week, we are no longer truly in Winter. Join the California State Grange online for an examination of the 4th Degree and why this barn is surrounded by snow.

Join us for a meaningful conversation around the Fourth Degree Ceremony.

We are hosting a California State Grange table-read where members can walk through the ceremony together, share ideas, and offer thoughtful insight as we continue strengthening the experience for everyone involved.

This is a great opportunity to connect, learn, and be part of shaping something that matters.

This applies to all of us.

Every Tuesday this month, we are bringing you a Grange "Pro-Tip" to help local Granges promote the Grange.

This week's Pro-Tip:
🔹 When referring to our organization, Grange is always capitalized. 🔹

That’s because "Grange" isn’t just a general term—it’s a proper name that represents a national, grassroots organization with a proud history dating back to 1867.

Using a capital “G” helps distinguish the National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry from the everyday word “grange,” which can simply mean a farm or agricultural building.

It may seem like a small detail, but it reflects respect for our identity, our mission, and the generations of members who have built the Grange into what it is today.

Let's all become Leadership Multipliers and increase the leadership available in our communities.

Let's all become Leadership Multipliers and increase the leadership available in our communities.

National Grange President Christine Hamp has released her monthly "Speak Like a 'CHAMP'" phrase.

LEADERSHIP MULTIPLIER

A Leadership Multiplier is someone whose influence expands the leadership capacity of others. They coach, mentor, and equip emerging leaders, ensuring the organization grows stronger over time. Leadership Multipliers empower others to step into roles, develop skills, and take on responsibility. They help build a deep and sustainable bench of future leaders - ensuring continuity and momentum.

We encourage you to use these phrases in your work as we all Grange together.

What else can we say? Central California Pomona Grange encompasses the top 3 Agricultural Counties in California and 1/4 of the top 20 counties in the Nation. Ready to talk about agriculture?

Happy National Ag Day from California State Grange.

From the Central Valley to the coast, California agriculture feeds communities across the country and around the world. We’re proud to represent the largest agricultural producing state in the nation.

In 2023 alone, California agriculture generated $59.4 billion in cash receipts and produced more than 400 different commodities. From dairy products and grapes to almonds, cattle, and lettuce, our farmers and ranchers work every day to keep food on our tables.

California grows more than 90 percent of the nation’s strawberries, produces over one-third of America’s vegetables, and nearly three-quarters of its fruits and nuts. It’s also the top agricultural export state in the country, sharing the work of our fields with the world.

Today we celebrate the farmers, ranchers, producers, and agricultural communities who make it all possible. Thank you for the work you do every single day.

Happy National Ag Day.

Agriculture Literacy Week: Agriculture Heroes

Farmers aren’t the only people who help bring food to our tables.

Truck drivers, veterinarians, scientists, equipment operators, and many others all play important roles in agriculture.

Today’s challenge for kids:
What job in agriculture sounds interesting to you?
Share what you would like to do if you worked in agriculture someday.
