We are thrilled to announce that we have a new facility joining our Distribution Day on June 17th!

A warm welcome to Richland Bean-Blossom Health Care Center, where we will be delivering comfort, companionship, and smiles through our lifelike companion pets and baby dolls.

Every distribution day is a reminder of the impact your support makes. Because of our donors, sponsors, and supporters, we are able to place these special companions into the hands of residents who can benefit from comfort, purpose, and connection.

We can't wait to meet the residents and staff and share the joy that these companions bring. ❤️

🌟Story of Impact🌟 Evelyn’s Blessings began with an 11-year-old girl and a moment she will never forget. While visiting her Pappy in a long-term care facility, Evelyn Hill saw a resident light up after receiving a baby doll for comfort. That moment spoke to her and sparked a big idea. Alongside her family, she created Evelyn’s Blessings, bringing therapy babies and robotic companion pets to residents in long-term care.

“With support from a Orange County Community Foundation grant, Evelyn’s Blessings has been able to expand its reach and provide more therapy cats, dogs, birds, and baby dolls to residents across Indiana and into Tennessee,” said Evelyn Hill and her mom, Jennifer. “Even more than the supplies, the grant has helped build meaningful connections with local care facilities, staff, and families throughout Orange County.”

Time and again, we hear the same thing from families and caregivers: “the pet has changed the way this person interacts with the world.” Residents who were once withdrawn are engaging again, smiling, and reconnecting with others. Because of this support, Evelyn’s vision continues to grow, and more people are experiencing comfort, companionship, and joy when they need it most.

THEN and NOW 💛

We are coming up on the 2-year anniversary of Evelyn’s Blessings… and what an incredible two years it has been.

If you’re new here—welcome. We’re so glad you found us. 💛
What started as a simple dream from a little girl has grown into something we never could have imagined—reaching hearts not just in our community, but across the country. What a blessing Evelyn truly is.

Evelyn’s journey began shortly after we lost our Pappy. He was larger than life in our family, and the loss left a space in our hearts that felt impossible to fill. During visits to his long-term care facility, Evelyn noticed something that stayed with her—a resident who held a baby doll in her wheelchair each day.

On the way home, Evelyn asked if we could help bring that same comfort to others. She wanted everyone in a long-term care facility to have something to hold, to love, and to bring them peace. Anyone who knows Evelyn knows how much she has always loved baby dolls—but this was something deeper. This was compassion in its purest form.

As we learned more about dementia and memory-related illnesses, we discovered lifelike companion animals—and Evelyn knew right away they had to be part of her mission too.

With the support of the Orange County Community Foundation, Evelyn’s Blessings became a nonprofit… and in just two short years, we have placed nearly 1,000 companion animals and baby dolls into the hands of residents who needed comfort most.

One thousand moments of connection.
One thousand opportunities for peace.
One thousand reminders that they are not alone. 💛

And none of this would be possible without you.

You have supported Evelyn in ways we will never forget—cheering her on, sharing her story, watching her on the news, purchasing teacup bird feeders and Blind Date with a Books, offering encouragement, and lifting her up in prayer.

As Evelyn’s mom, I cannot fully express what it means to see not only those closest to us rally around her, but also complete strangers who have chosen to believe in her mission.

Our hope is that when you’re here, you feel something special—love, connection, and pride in watching a young girl pour her heart into caring for others in their most vulnerable moments.
