Our Silent Auction is growing, and I am so grateful for the local businesses who have already stepped forward to support The Vine Foundation and the survivors we serve.

We have 30 interest submissions so far for The Vine Foundations Visionary Luncheon! I’m overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and desire to be apart of this mission. We have such a beautiful community of people willing to extend themselves out to help bring this into fruition.

We’re beginning to plan something very special through The Vine Foundation, and before we announce the full details, we need to know who wants to be part of it. 🤍

The Visionary Luncheon will bring together local leaders, business owners, professionals, advocates, service providers, and community members who believe in what we’re building for survivors of domestic violence in our community.

But this luncheon has another really important purpose.

Over the last several months, I’ve connected with so many incredible people who have reached out wanting to help, whether through legal services, counseling, housing, transportation, childcare, employment, financial guidance, advocacy, donations, community partnerships, or simply a willingness to step in when a need arises.

Those conversations have happened everywhere: Facebook, Instagram, text messages, email, phone calls and in person. As this has grown, I’ve realized I don’t ever want an important connection to get lost simply because a message became buried somewhere.

Part of the Visionary Luncheon will be about bringing those connections together and getting organized. I want to establish who can help, where they can help, what resources or services they can offer, and the areas they serve, then compile that information into one organized place that The Vine Foundation can turn to when a survivor has a need.

The goal is that eventually, when a woman comes to us and says, “I need help,” we aren’t starting from scratch trying to figure out who to call. We’ve already built the network.

Right now, we are simply trying to determine how many people would be interested in attending so we can plan accordingly. This is not an official RSVP or commitment to attend. This is more than an opportunity to donate. It’s an opportunity to put your business in the room.

The Visionary Luncheon will bring together business owners, community leaders, professionals, advocates, and philanthropically minded individuals who value connection, networking, collaboration, and creating meaningful change in our community.

✨We officially have a fall themed wellness package being donated, complete with a gift card, metabolic scale, and a collection of wellness favorites. 🤍

✨The Vine Blooms build your own bouquet bar will be set up, with 100% of the proceeds going to The Vine Foundation!

This October, in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, The Crafty Cotton Co is graciously donating 20% of all October profits to The Vine Foundation!

But Sammy’s support of The Vine started long before this. She donated and graciously made The Vine Blooms logo stickers, has contributed toward the cost of flowers for our bouquet bar pop-ups, and continues to show up for what we’re building.

She’s also such a valued part of our small community. Some of you know her name, but many probably don’t realize just how much of her work you already see around town. From the designs our teachers wear at our elementary, middle and high schools to shirts and gear for our kids playing in city leagues, Sammy is behind so much of it.

She can create just about anything, keeps her prices incredibly reasonable, and never sacrifices quality to do it.

So this October, if you need custom apparel, tumblers, signs or something special made, consider supporting the small business that has so generously chosen to support ours. 💜
