Today, we celebrate Dolly Parton and her beautiful belief that every child deserves the opportunity to discover the magic of a book.
Through her love of literacy and her Imagination Library, Dolly has helped put books into the hands and hearts of children, inspiring them to dream bigger, imagine more, and believe in themselves.

Reading opens doors to new worlds, teaches us about life, and reminds us that no dream is too big.

Here’s to turning the page, sparking imagination, and creating a lifelong love of reading. ❤️📖

In observance of Labor Day, all NICAA offices and programs will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026.
We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

💗 Wearing Pink for Dolly! 💗

The ROE #8 team was happy to partner with NICAA (Northwestern Illinois Community Action Agency) to wear pink in memory of Dolly Parton and celebrate the incredible impact she has made on children, families, and communities. 💕

As an organization that works with schools, students, and families throughout our region, we know how important access to books and positive early learning experiences can be. Through our Family Enrichment Program (FEP), we are proud to help connect families with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, giving children the opportunity to receive free books in the mail each month. 📚❤️

Today, we simply wanted to wear a little pink, have some fun, and remember Dolly and the lasting impact she has made by helping put books into the hands of children and encouraging families to read together.

💗📚 Thank you, Dolly, for leaving such a beautiful legacy of helping children learn, dream, and imagine!
