Yesterday was another great day with great people, putting our hands to work for our neighbors. The Broken Souls MC crew came together for a ramp pre-build, repurposing sections from a ramp donated by United Way of Saginaw County. This is the second ramp we’re putting together from that one donated ramp, carrying that gift forward to help another household.

There’s something powerful about working people gathering around a pile of lumber and turning it into someone’s independence. Every usable board we reclaim stretches our resources further, and every person who lends a hand helps make this work possible. A stronger community takes shape when neighbors take responsibility for one another.

Of course, anyone who has worked alongside us knows we’re going to have some fun along the way. There’s always plenty of laughter, somebody catching a little grief, and, once the tools are put away, it usually ends with a cold b**r and some old stories. Some of those stories might even be true. 😂🍻

Today, Broken Souls MC put reclaimed lumber back to work serving a neighbor. Thanks to the United Way of Saginaw County providing us with a previously built ramp, we were able to give those materials a new purpose and build another pathway to independence.

It only takes a small team of willing people to make work like this happen. A few neighbors sharing their time, their tools, and their effort can make a lasting difference for someone who needs a safe way in and out of their home. Every board we put down is a reminder that working people have the power to improve our communities with our own hands.

If you’ve ever wanted to get involved, reach out to us at Broken Souls and we’ll get you on a build. You don’t need construction experience or a truck full of tools—just a willingness to learn and lend a hand. We’ll work alongside you and help you learn as we go.

Our favorite thing is having neighbors join us in this work. Friendships grow while the work gets done, and the strength of our community grows with them. There is a place for you here, and together we can help another neighbor regain a little freedom.

🎃🏍️ BROKEN SOULS MC 219 — BIKE OR TREAT! 🏍️🎃

Grab the costumes, bring the kids, and come celebrate Halloween with the Broken Souls! We’ll have plenty of candy—just like last year—and we’re looking forward to seeing our neighbors for an afternoon of family fun.

The work of building a ramp begins long before the first section reaches someone’s front door. For Broken Souls MC, that means gathering around the trailers, putting tools in working hands, and preparing reclaimed ramp sections for our next two builds.

These materials have already served one purpose, and there is more good left in them. By reclaiming and reworking these sections, we can stretch our resources further and help two more neighbors get the access they need.

A few steps can become a mighty barrier when your body can no longer carry you over them. A ramp can mean getting to a doctor’s appointment, spending time with family, or simply stepping outside to enjoy the afternoon air. Every person deserves that freedom and dignity.

This is solidarity taking shape through working hands. Our members, Beautiful Souls, and volunteers bring their time and effort together because caring for our neighbors is a responsibility we share.

It was a great day for community service with Broken Souls MC! Our good friends at United Way of Saginaw County called to let us know a mobility ramp was no longer in use and could be relocated to help someone else. Installed less than a year ago and still in great shape, this ramp has plenty of service left to give.

Our crew got to work taking it apart and loading the sections for their next purpose. Because of its size, we’ll be able to reuse this one ramp at two separate locations. Good materials won’t go to waste, and two more households will gain a path toward greater independence.

To some folks, these pictures might show lumber, tools, and a trailer. We see the means for a neighbor to get outside, reach a doctor’s appointment, or spend time with family without a set of stairs standing in the way. Working people know what it means to face a burden, and we know what can happen when we put our hands together to lift it.

Thank you to United Way for making the connection and to everyone who showed up and put in the work. Every ramp we recover stretches our resources further and helps us reach another neighbor. This is solidarity in practice, and this is why we ride with a purpose.

Another Day, Another Neighbor Taken Care Of

Today, Broken Souls MC 219 had the opportunity to help a local senior in our community who is part of the ALICE population—someone working with limited resources who needed some help getting her steps repaired and made safer.

For many of us, a set of steps might seem like a small thing. But when you’re a senior, damaged or unsafe steps can become a serious obstacle to simply getting in and out of your own home safely. When we learned she needed a hand, our members stepped up and took care of it today.

This is what Broken Souls is about. We don’t believe somebody should be forgotten simply because they don’t have the money to hire a contractor. Sometimes a community just needs people willing to show up with tools in their hands and get the job done.

Every ramp we build, every set of steps we repair, and every family we help is another reminder of why we started doing this work in the first place.

Broken Souls MC 219 is doing it again this year! Bring the kids, put on those costumes, and join us for Bike or Treat on October 24 from 3–5 PM in the open parking lot next to the Marathon in Freeland, Michigan.

We’ll have tons of candy, just like last year, and we’ll draw the winning ticket for our beef raffle during the event. It’s free, everyone is welcome, and you don’t need to ride a motorcycle to come celebrate with us.

For us, being a motorcycle club means showing up for our community. We can’t wait to see the kids’ costumes and share an afternoon with our neighbors. Please spread the word so every family knows they’re invited!

Today, Broken Souls MC had the honor of joining Smith Food Pantry for an incredible food drive that provided food for more than 250 vehicles. Behind every vehicle was a family, an individual, a senior, or a neighbor facing difficult circumstances—and because of the generosity of this community, they were able to take home food, hope, and the reminder that they are not alone.

This was more than a food distribution. It was a powerful example of what can happen when people come together with compassion and a willingness to serve. Every box loaded, every conversation shared, and every volunteer hour made a difference. In a time when many families are struggling to make ends meet, efforts like this help put meals on tables and bring relief to those who need it most.

After the distribution, Smith Food Pantry went above and beyond by donating a van load of candy for our upcoming Halloween trick-or-treat event. Not only did they help feed families today, but they also helped us prepare to bring joy to local children next month. Their generosity will help make Halloween brighter for kids in our community and create memories that will last long after the candy is gone.

We are deeply grateful to everyone at Smith Food Pantry, every volunteer, every supporter, and every person who helped make this event possible. Your time, effort, and generosity prove that community is not just a word—it is something we build through action. When we stand together, we can meet immediate needs, lift people up, and make a lasting impact.

Thank you for allowing Broken Souls MC to be part of such a meaningful day. We will continue to ride with purpose, serve with pride, and show up for the people and communities that matter most. This is what brotherhood, compassion, and community look like.

RAIN, ROADS & SOLIDARITY — BROKEN SOULS SHOWED UP

Yesterday was one of those days when the weather gave everybody a perfectly good excuse to stay home. Cold, wet, gray and miserable—the kind of day when most people look out the window and decide the couch sounds pretty damn good.

Broken Souls MC and our friends had a different idea.

Plenty of motorcycles still rolled out, and the people who decided two wheels weren’t worth fighting the weather jumped into trucks, cars and whatever else would get them there. That’s what made the day special. It wasn’t really about how somebody arrived. It was about showing up.

And show up we did.

Every stop brought people together. We laughed, ate, drank, told stories, shook hands and probably raised a little more hell than absolutely necessary. Looking at these pictures, you wouldn’t know Mother Nature had spent the day trying to ruin the party. Turns out she underestimated who she was dealing with.

There was another important part of yesterday too. Every meal ordered, every drink bought and every dollar spent put money directly into businesses in our own communities. Those businesses were genuinely happy to see a crowd coming through their doors, and we were just as happy to support them. That’s what a strong community looks like—ordinary people supporting the places and people around them instead of waiting for somebody else to do it.

The weather didn’t determine whether yesterday succeeded. The people did. Riders came out. Friends and supporters came out. Vehicles filled in where motorcycles couldn’t. Every stop had energy, and everywhere we went there were smiles.

Broken Souls MC has always believed that community is something you participate in, not something you simply live in. Sometimes that means building ramps, helping families or feeding people. And sometimes community means getting everybody together, supporting local businesses and having one hell of a good time.

Yesterday, we definitely proved one thing: Broken Souls MC knows how to party—rain or shine.

Much love to everybody who came out, everybody who rode through the weather, everybody who jumped into a vehicle instead, and every local business that welcomed this crazy bunch through its doors.
