⛳ ROUND 1 LEADER AT THE STATE FINALS! ⛳

Freeland's Tristan Pohl put together a spectacular opening round today, firing a 4-under-par 67 to take the lead after Round 1 of the MHSAA State Finals! 🔥💪

Playing with confidence and composure all day, Tristan carded one of the best rounds in the field and will head into tomorrow's final round 👏

An incredible accomplishment and a testament to the hard work he's put in throughout his career. Now it's time for one more round! ⛳️

Congrats to Payton Maxey for being voted as TVC Red Field Athlete of the Year by the coaches in the conference. It’s the 1st time they are recognizing athletes like this so Payton will go down as the very first honoree in the history books!

Regional Semi-Final & End of Season Recap:

The Freeland Lady Falcons saw a tremendous season come to a close Tuesday night with a hard-fought 1-0 loss to the Fremont Packers in the regional playoff round.

Despite the final score, the falcons controlled possession for the majority of the contest and put together one of their strongest technical performances of the season. Freeland consistently dictated play, creating quality scoring opportunities throughout the match and outshot Fremont by an impressive 18-2 margin.

Unfortunately, despite their relentless pressure and attacking opportunities, Freeland was unable to find the back of the net. The game's lone goal came with just 13 minutes remaining, when a goalkeeper punt took a favorable bounce and found a Fremont forward, who capitalized on the opportunity for the eventual game-winner.

While the result was not what the lady falcons had hoped for, it does little to diminish what was an outstanding season. Freeland finishes the year with an impressive 14-6-3 overall record, showcasing their resilience, skill, and culture from start to finish.

A special thank you goes out to the senior class for their incredible careers and lasting impact on the program. Over their four years, these players helped bring home five MHSAA championships to Freeland, leaving behind a legacy of excellence, leadership, and dedication that will continue to inspire future lady falcons.

Congratulations to the entire team, coaches, volunteers, and all supporters on an outstanding season and a year filled with memorable accomplishments!

We wish many blessings to our wonderful senior lady falcons, as they embark on their next chapters. Congratulations on an outstanding four years! 💚⚽️ 📸S. Lloyd
