The FMS XC team wrapped up the final TVC meet of the year last night at Delta College.

The boys led things off with a second place team performance and five in the medals. Eli Graham with the overall win followed by Nathan Diffin third, Ethan Mielke in sixth and a new personal best time, Blake Hammond nineteenth and Arthur Martin twenty first.

Wesley Todd ran his first race of the season with a strong performance.

The girls continued with a first place team performance led by Bryar Rytlewski in second, Evelyn Chan third, Hailey Haven fifth with a new personal best time, Brianna Ryan in eighth, Farrah Marenger eleventh, Brynn Zissler sixteenth and a personal best time and Hannah Gronski seventeenth and also a new personal best time.

Others with new personal best times, Amara Larimer, Genevieve Beattie, Mackenzie Larimer and an outstanding two minute personal best improvement by Payton Trepkowski, and a seasons best and just missing a new personal best by Evelyn Frankowski.

The team will finish the season at regionals at Frankenmuth on October 24th.

The Michigan high school boys soccer playoffs begin Wednesday with every team trying to reach the state championships Saturday, Nov. 7, at Grand Ledge.

The top Saginaw-area boys soccer teams are in Division 3 and in the Tri-Valley Conference Red Division. Four teams from the division are ranked in the top 15 in the state, with Frankenmuth (No. 6), Alma (No. 11), Freeland (No. 12) and Swan Valley (No. 13).

Our FHS XC Girls battled yesterday! They were losing with one mile to go and finished with a 1 point victory to become Back to Back to Back aka Three Peat TVC Red Champions!!!!

✔️Clara Kaczor won and became the TVC Red Champion for a 2nd time in her career.

✔️Girls had a total of 7 earning TVC Red All Conference Honors.

Freeland edges Frankenmuth for TVC Red title | MLive by Hugh Bernreuter

Girls Cross Country - TVC Red Jamboree

Freeland used one point to claim the third and final Tri-Valley Conference Girls Cross Country Jamboree and the overall conference title.

Led by medalist Clara Kaczor, Freeland finished with 41 points at Delta College, with Frankenmuth second with 42 points Monday and in the overall standings.

Alma was third with 64 points, followed by Swan Valley (106), Essexville Garber (116) and Bay City John Glenn (162).

Freeland won the first TVC Jamboree, but Frankenmuth claimed the second TVC Jamboree title, edging Freeland,
41-42.

In Monday's jamboree, Kaczor won in 19:07.7. Frankenmuth's Lucy Conzelmann was second (19:43.9), with Frankenmuth's Emma Parker third (20:51.5), Swan Valley's Aubrey Hare fourth (20:56.2), Alma's Sevarah Markham fifth (21:12.3), Frankenmuth's Kinsley Compau sixth (21:14.0), Freeland's Katie Niederquell seventh (21:14.😎 and Freeland's Grace Kloha eighth (21:34.6).

Freeland's final two scorers were
Olivia Mielke in 11th place (21:45.6) and Isabel Reinke in 14th place (22:30.6).

Boys Cross Country - TVC Red Jamboree

Alma won the team title in Monday's Tri-Valley Conference Red Boys
Jamboree at Delta College with 35 points, clinching the season conference title. Freeland finished second Monday with 60 points, followed by Swan Valley (85) and Frankenmuth (96). Frankenmuth senior Nick Parker won Monday's meet in 16:01.3, followed by Alma's Ezekiel Baltierra (16:01.7), Essexville Garber's Seth Betzold (16:41.0), Swan

Shout out to our Freeland High School Equestrian Team headed to MIHA State Championship Wednesday-Sunday for the 5th consecutive year representing Freeland! Good luck team!

Three local teams are among 39 teams competing at the Michigan Interscholastic Horsemanship Association state championship from Oct. 14-18 at the Midland County Fairgrounds.

The Freeland 8th Grade Girls Basketball team cruised to a 45–11 victory over John Glenn! The Falcons brought the energy on both ends of the court, using strong defense and teamwork to take control of the game. Another impressive performance from this talented group as they continue their incredible season! 💚🤍🏀

The Falcons came out determined and never looked back, putting together another outstanding team performance.
