Fredericksburg Photography Club The Fredericksburg Photography Club (Fredericksburg, Virginia) is open to anyone interested in photography.

Membership includes photographers at all skill levels from beginners to advanced using digital and/or film. When & Where: Meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Dorothy Hart Community Center, 408 Canal Street, Fredericksburg VA from 7 - 9 PM. Format: The format for the club year will consist of alternating Program meetings and Assigned Subject (Critique) meetings. (For de

tails on the Critique meetings go to the Newsletters & Articles tab and select Critique Nights Guidelines.) Critiques will normally be done by individuals who are not members of the club. Meetings are designed to exhibit members’ work and to help further photographic skills and knowledge by the sharing of information and expertise. Programs are scheduled in areas of interest determined by vote of the membership. Presenters with expertise in these specific areas are sought to provide interesting and informative presentations throughout the club year. Programs will be determined and announced prior to each meeting date.

Ever wonder what the judges are looking for? Well every judge is different, but we will talk about the basic things most judges are trained to see, as well as a few things that our local judges love. Photo judges Joe Parker and Jessi Bradshaw have put together a slideshow of tips and suggestions to pull your competition entries up a level. Hopefully you will walk away with knowledge to help you earn more ribbons, turn fine prints into great ones, or just train your own eyes for critiques.
