Boot Scooting for a Cause In Honor of Mariana "Ama" With the help of her cousins and aunts and uncles a fundraiser event called Boot Scootin for a Cure was held in November 2008.

A fundraising event was first organized by one of Mariana's granddaughters, Veronica Sanchez wanted to honor her grandmother who passed away of cancer. All proceeds from that event went to the Health, Hope & Healing Cancer Resource Center to help with education and prevention of cancer. In Sept. 2009 and Nov. 2009 two events were held, a spanish dance and a country dance. Proceeds went to Hill Cou

ntry Hospice. In 2009 we made an agreement with Austin Community Foundation and have become a special project fund under ACF. Boot-Scooting for a cause is a member of the great family of non profits of Austin Community Foundation


Boot-Scooting for a Cause is a 501(c)(3) non-profit group and all donations are tax deductible.
