Every day, students walk into school carrying more than backpacks. Some carry worry, embarrassment, or stress over something as simple as clean clothes or basic hygiene items.

Wyatt’s Closet exists to meet those needs quietly and with dignity—through in-school needs closets stocked with essential items students can access when they need them most. These closets are often the difference between a student feeling anxious and isolated or confident and ready to learn.

This fundraising campaign helps us keep those closets stocked year-round. Every donation goes directly toward providing essential clothing and hygiene items so students can focus on being kids and learners—not on what they’re missing.

Exciting news! Wyatt’s Closet is honored to receive a grant from the Amazon Rappahannock Region Community Fund. This support will allow us to establish and support needs closets within area schools and make a real difference in our community. It was wonderful to celebrate alongside other local leaders at tonight's recognition event—so energizing to be part of a network of organizations working together across our region. 🎉 We’re honored to share some exciting news! 🎉

Wyatt’s Closet has been selected as a 2025 grant recipient of the Amazon Rappahannock Region Community Fund, in partnership with Amazon and The Community Foundation.

Through our School Needs Closets Initiative, this grant will help us continue providing children in Spotsylvania, Stafford, and Caroline Counties with new clothing, shoes, and school essentials—supporting dignity, comfort, and confidence for students who need it most.

We are deeply grateful to Amazon and The Community Foundation for investing in community-based organizations and recognizing the importance of meeting children’s basic needs so they can thrive in school and beyond.

Congratulations to all of the incredible nonprofits selected this year.

We’re proud to share exciting news in collaboration with Amazon.com—the 2025 Amazon Rappahannock Region Community Fund has awarded $300,000 to 35 nonprofit and community-based organizations working to strengthen innovation, inclusion, and resilience across Stafford, Spotsylvania, Caroline, and Louisa Counties, and the greater Rappahannock region.

Thinking about doing something new in the new year? Why not do some volunteering work? We can’t do what we do without help. The last few days made us realize that we definitely need help going into the new year. If you would like to make a change in the community, please reach out.

What a few days. On Thursday and Friday we held our holiday assistance program where we had some amazing families come and pick out some gifts for their children. We had lots of laughs and a few tears, some aching feet and stiff muscles, but it was all very much worth it.

We would like to thank our amazing sponsors and helpers , Amazon who withoit we wouldnt have been able to help so many families, moments made beautiful for the beautiful balloon display, spreading smiles for sending some of their marvelous volunteers for the winter wonderland who arrived armed with cookie decorating and tree decoration making kits. Randolph the reindeer, yes Randolph is correct, Betsy, Val & Theresa. Without all your help, this wouldn’t be possible.

I also wanna add a big shout out to Ashley who put so much time into making these things happen, we are so proud of you. I’m not gonna forget Ashley‘s husband, Randy. Without Randy doing what he does to support Ashley she wouldn’t be able to do what she does to support the community.

Thank you all who came and we hope we made your holidays a little bit better.

🌟 It’s Giving Tuesday! 🌟

Today, we’re celebrating the kindness and generosity that keep our mission alive.

Because of supporters like YOU, we’re able to provide school supplies, personal care items, holiday assistance, and so much more to children and teens who need it most. Every backpack filled, every hygiene kit delivered, and every holiday moment brightened happens because our community shows up.

This Giving Tuesday, we’re raising funds for our 2026 initiative to establish on-site needs pantries in local schools. These pantries will ensure students have immediate access to essentials like hygiene products, school supplies, and comfort items—right where they learn, without barriers or stigma.
