Thank you to the Cincinnati Reds for sending me the official video of my first pitch last week at their Friday night game and the opportunity to do it this year and again in 2027!! ❤️⚾️⚾️

We are still selling tickets to the reds brewers game on September 4th in Cincinnati. 40 dollars gets you a seat, a shirt, and you can support the foundation as I throw out the first pitch at the game!! Heartbroken to hear our friend Chris Johnston lost his battle with brain cancer at the young age of 39!! 💔. I was blessed to meet him in person and please keep his wife and daughter in your prayers!! 🙏

Christopher M. Johnston, 39, of College Corner, Ohio, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Christopher was a 2005 Union County High School graduate. A hard worker from the very beginning, Christopher earned many awards as a Boy Scout, worked at the Liberty CountryMark Co Op, College Corner Implement Company, Harvestland, Rumpke, and Usalco. After a successful blind date, he met the love of his life, Amanda, and they married in 2009. In 2013, Christopher and Amanda were blessed with their beautiful daughter, Morgan.
Christopher joined the Boston Fire Department in 2016, later received the title of Lieutenant, and was an Israel Township Trustee for many faithful years. He was also a member of the Salem Friends Church.

Christopher was preceded in death by his mother, Julie (Vivian) Johnston, and grandparents, John and Marilyn Johnston, Jack Vivian, and Donna Weber.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda, daughter, Morgan, father, Kevin (Kim) Johnston, sister, Katherine (Brock) O’Neil, nephews, Brock and Julian O’Neil, as well as many other family members and friends.

Visitation for Christopher will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 9:00 am at the College Corner Union School in College Corner, until the time of the service at 11:00 am, officiated by Pastor Paul Ayers.
Burial will follow at the College Corner Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made for the benefit of his daughter, Morgan, and her future plans.
