These are "community cats" that are outdoor cats living near homes, they are spayed, in great health. The renter is moving and now the cats are going to lose the only human they trust in the home they knew. Owner of the apartment don't want "cats in the yard". But the reality of Puerto Rico is that there is no way to prevent this except spay and neuter. These 3 girls are spayed and in great health. If anyone is interested in the black and black/white (sisters) please reach out to us. They need a home ASAP.

While I would love nothing but sit and play with kittens all day, having to say NO for the n-th time this week that just began, creates a heavyness in my heart.

Many rescues in Puerto Rico feel exactly this way.

The need is immense and so many reach out for our help but we CAN NOT take more kittens due to financial strains, lack of donations to continue, working on grant writing and other fundraising ideas.

Between April and August the number of kittens born and entering Shelters across the United States is the highest point. Also Summer is also the lowest time for adoption.

FOR THE NEXT FEW MONTHS we focus on prevention. This is the only way to help.

FOR THE NEXT FEW MONTHS we also need to support those cats and kittens we commited to help before February until June.

What is the story behind this cat and his swirls? The classic pattern coat of a Tabby cat draws you in to speculate. The personality of this cat: AMAZING. A sweet boy that want to play and purr~

This handsome boy have all the vaccines and protocols and neuter/spay done, still need combo testing*. Now about 6-7 months.

An individual helping to TNVR her neighboorhood is seeking an organization who can get them to adopt. We are closed for intakes. I only can share and connect to the independent rescuer.

The individual sharing these pictures is independently rescuing this litter. Has a neighbor who is a 92 years old woman who, of course, began to give food to the cats coming to her house and without spay/neutering them the colony formed. Out of 2 adults today there are 9 more came to the world.

His littermates? Just as gorgeous

At just six weeks old, Spirit was found lying on the hot asphalt in the drive-through of a bakery in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He was lethargic and dehydrated, and both of his tiny eyes were crusted completely shut. This kitten was alone, unable to see, and urgently needed help.

A fellow rescuer reached out, she is just as max out as us to take another one but as she said, I can't let him die~.

Spirit was hospitalized 3 days, stabilized and given antibiotic and eye cream. Has an appointment this Monday for re-check and evaluate his eye damage.

Another 'Gotcha' anniversary! 🐾

TWO years ago, Noelle went from a former feral rescue kitten to a pampered house cat. Her mother a colony feral cat. Her sisters skittish kittens.

She taught her new momma the meaning of patience for several months. Otto her cat brother, taught her how to trust and then finally happened. She gave so much love.

From the streets of PR to a cozy sofa! 🏠 Remember Caroline? She was going to be released and I posted if anyone could foster and we work diligently to find a rescue to help her get adopted?
So we did!

From 196 cats that have been TNVR, 30% found homes and released 70% back.

Not a single birth from the stable colony cats. Any litters found were abandoned pets that were rescued.
