We have been quiet lately, but we have been quite busy! Over the past week, some gifts had already made the way to Haywood County & Lake Lure. Today, was the delivery day to Burnsville, in Yancey County. The trailer was loaded down with 175 boxes for kids from birth to 12 years old, over 70 individually wrapped gifts, socks, baby food, diapers/wipes, over 500 books, school supplies, blankets & so much more...here's just a few pictures from today. From the moment we pulled in, we were met by families who were so thankful to receive a little Christmas joy! While many of them said Operation Carolina Christmas was a blessing for their families - I would have to say that we were the ones blessed! It was so heartwarming to know that this wild hair idea turned into such a blessing for so many who are hurting. Absolutely NONE of this would have been possible without the generosity of those that donated. Your kindness is appreciated more than you could ever know!

URGENT UPDATE:
Due to some "behind the scenes" logistics, the deadline for donations will be Wednesday, November 20th! Cash donations will be accepted until Saturday, November 30th! If you are wanting to support our cause, keep those deadlines in mind! We are so blown away with the amount of support we have received! Yall have made a "wild hair idea" a reality & we are totally humbled & so grateful. We are still looking for a few $25 Scripture Sponsors as well - shoot a message if you'd like to be a sponsor! A $25 donation will provide 50 Testaments! A big thank you to Stamey's Heating & Air for their pledge today!

UPDATE - Roy's Nutz & Buttz in Robbinsville will take cash donations in addition to having a box for toy donations!

What a great day for Operation Carolina Christmas! We traveled to Graham County & are pleased to have Roy's Nutz & Buttz as an official MONETARY donation site! We also picked up from our Franklin area drop-off sites & are so blessed to have the load of items & cash donations! The donation boxes & cash jars are empty at Southern & Sunkissed, Repeats Consignment & Cowee Gift Shop & Mason Mountain Mine - so stop by & fill them up again! Every donation helps reach our goal...and we could not do it without you!

IMPORTANT UPDATES & DEADLINE INFO...
📌 "Scripture Sponsors" NEEDED! A Scripture Sponsor is someone who donates $25 to provide Bibles for the boxes. Unlike all other monetary donations which will be applied to filling boxes with toys, activities & lots other goodies, the Scripture Sponsor pledge goes solely for the purpose of purchasing Bibles/Testaments to place in each box! If you are interested in becoming a Scripture Sponsor, let us know so we can earmark the donation accordingly! This is a great opportunity for individuals & church groups who feel led to participate!

📌 Handwritten notes/Christmas cards from kiddos are still welcome! If you know a teacher or children's group that would like to participate, shoot us a message! The deadline for the cards & notes is November 20th (before the kids get out of school for Thanksgiving!)

📌 DEADLINE! All good things must come to an end...the deadline for all donations - both items & monetary - will be Saturday, December 7th!

As the orders roll in & local donations are picked up & sorted, I am reminded daily that this little idea is going to have such a large impact. Just a quick little update...Handmade cards & notes are beginning to show up - and to know that little hands created these cards & words of encouragement for another kiddo has warmed my heart so much. Humbled. Grateful. Shocked. Amazed. Blessed. Thankful...just a few words that come to mind to describe how I feel with the amount of support Operation Carolina Christmas is receiving. Donations picked up locally almost daily, deliveries coming in steadily. You guys are the reason this can happen! Donations from literally all over the country - just this week, California was checked off the list! We are making amazing progress, but still could use your help. As always, like, share & comment on our posts - just spreading the word is a tremendous help! Also, we are looking for a few more teachers or even church groups that would be willing to make cards/notes to include in the boxes. It's our goal to have a handwritten card/note from another kiddo in every box! If you are interested in helping with this, please message us directly. In the next few days, we will release our deadline...while it seems like Christmas is so far away, it will be here before you know it!
⭐️One of the most common messages I receive is simply, "I wish I could do more!" And to this I would tell you to remember when we all work towards a common goal, we can accomplish amazing things! And we are! Yall have put legs on this idea and together we are making it happen!⭐️

This week has been nothing short of amazing! Lots of deliveries have came in, local donations have been picked up & we have several local businesses set up as donation drop points (and more to come this week)! We have also added a Walmart registry & Oriental Trading Company wishlist (links below), in addition to the Amazon wishlist. Obviously these are not the only retailers to purchase from, nor are these the only items we will accept...but this certainly makes donating simple for those not local! This is shaping up to be an amazing blessing & we are so thankful for all who have helped us thus far.

Good morning, folks! You guys are nothing short of amazing! A quick update...orders have began to arrive. It's absolutely humbling to see those orders come in - because without yall, this could not happen! I've had several questions lately that I thought I could address here to keep yall in the loop...the most common question is "how can I help?" Sending items from our wishlists, donating items directly if you are local & monetary donations are obviously needed & so helpful. However, I realize not everyone can do this & that's okay - Operation Carolina Christmas still needs YOU! Simply coming here & interacting helps us gain exposure. Be sure to LIKE, FOLLOW, COMMENT & SHARE! Doing that costs nothing, but helps more than you know! Secondly, I have been asked "If I make a monetary donation, what percentage is applied directly to the kids?" The answer is quite simple. 100%. Yes, ALL of your money will be applied to FILLING the boxes. There are no "administration" fees, cost for the boxes themselves, storage or delivery fees that the donations will be covering. As we approach our cut-off, the monetary donations will be used to fill any incomplete boxes and fill as many more boxes we possibly can! Yall are the most important part of this mission! If you have any questions, have a group or church that wants to help, please reach out - we'd love to work with you!

Just a quick note - I am experiencing an issue with cell & internet service. I have also been experiencing some issues with logging in with Facebook & no longer can use the app - I have to log in from a browser. If you have any questions, are a business wishing to be a drop point - please feel free to call or text me. I will be using my parents' Starlink to keep a check on messages. My number is 828.371.0745. To the local businesses who are waiting on donation boxes, jars & flyers...the boxes & jars are ready & the flyers are hot off the press. I will plan on seeing yall at some point this week!
Once again, thank you so much for believing in this project as much as I do! Just wanted to let yall know why I may not be responding promptly - hope to get these technological hiccups cleared up soon!

📌 We are looking for businesses that would allow us to utilize a little counter space for a donation jar &/or place a small box for new items! If this is you, shoot us a message! This includes any area businesses - Andrews, Murphy, Hayesville, Robbinsville, Bryson City, Sylva, Franklin - don't hesitate to reach out!
📌 If any business would allow us to set up in their parking area one day and receive donations give us a shout!
