Meet COR ❤️ — short for Corazon — named for the heart-shaped fur on his back and the heart we know he already carries.

Cor was found wandering the streets of San Diego, TX, alone and in need of help. Sound familiar? About a month ago, we introduced you to Caroline — also found surviving the streets of San Diego, TX. And yes… we believe these two may actually be related.

Today, Cor is at the vet alongside Caroline, who is receiving her follow-up exam. We have encouraging news — Cor’s blood work looks good and he is cleared to move forward with his neuter tomorrow. 🙌

We have also ordered DNA kits for BOTH pups because we are incredibly curious to learn more about their story and possible connection.

But as always, rescue comes with a cost.

Our donations have been way down recently, and we need your help to continue saying YES to dogs like Cor and Caroline. Vet visits, diagnostics, bloodwork, neuters, medications and follow-up care add up quickly — and we cannot do this without you.

Please consider helping us cover these medical costs so we can continue giving dogs like Cor the second chance they deserve.

PEYTON ❤️🚗 is READY to drive her way into your heart… and HOME.

Since 7/27/25, Peyton has been patiently waiting for her forever family.

This sweet senior girl has been through a lot, including a major splenectomy surgery that Guidry’s Guardian Foundation covered to save her life. Thankfully, her pathology revealed a benign splenic hematoma, and Peyton has continued to thrive.

Because she has remained in foster care for nearly a year simply due to being a senior dog, Guidry’s Guardian Foundation has invested heavily in making sure she stays healthy, comfortable and happy while she waits — including daily walks, medical care and ongoing support.

To date, we have invested $18,843.84 into Peyton’s care.

But here’s the important part…

Her adopter will NOT face these kinds of expenses.

Peyton is healthy, loved and maintained. She does not ask for much.

No lavish lifestyle.
No impossible demands.

Just love, companionship and a place to finally call home.

Senior dogs are often overlooked, but they have a special kind of love to give. Peyton is loyal, grateful and ready to be someone’s very best friend.

After almost a year of waiting, we are asking — who will give Peyton the forever she deserves?

Please share, network or apply to adopt.

CAROLINE 💛

Caroline was found wandering the streets of San Diego, TX — abandoned, covered in fleas, and trying to survive completely on her own. Thankfully, a compassionate woman stepped in and made sure Caroline finally got the chance she deserved.

Now safe with Guidry’s Guardian Foundation, Caroline is continuing her medical journey.

At her recent veterinary visit, Caroline tested heartworm positive. Her bloodwork also showed that she is a bit anemic with elevated white blood cells, meaning her body is fighting infection and inflammation. She has officially started medications, and we are committed to making sure she receives the care she needs.

Her veterinary care that day totaled $367.45.

Caroline returns for a follow-up vet visit next week as we recheck her levels and work toward scheduling her spay.

Despite everything she has endured, Caroline remains a small, loving and incredibly sweet girl. She deserves a family that will never abandon her again.

And yes — Caroline is available for adoption 💛

Guidry’s Guardian Foundation is 100% donation based. Dogs like Caroline are only possible because of your support. If you would like to help us continue her medical care and support dogs like her, donations can be made securely at:

Please share Caroline far and wide and help us find this sweet girl the FOREVER home she deserves.

A beautiful RUCA update from her mom:

“We are doing well… still trying to socialize and train every opportunity we get. Our trainer moved out of the area but still visits every few weeks… but we have enough foundation to do homework on our own for now. She’s graduated from her crate and does great alone in the house while we’re out.”

she hit the jackpot with his family. They have never given up on her in the continue to work with her and continue to set her up for success. We are beyond grateful.

SPROUT 🌱 UPDATE!

Look who had a BIG day! 💚

Sprout headed to the groomer and, according to his foster, he was the absolute darling of Petco. 🥹✂️🛁

He was wonderful with the groomer and Petco staff and showed everyone just how special he is. Despite there being LOTS of dogs around during a busy day, Sprout stayed calm, polite and didn’t bark at any of the other dogs. That says so much about this sweet boy and the progress he continues to make.

After spending nearly 3 months overlooked at the shelter, Sprout is now experiencing the world one positive step at a time — and he is taking it all in beautifully.

We are so proud of him and incredibly grateful to his committed foster for helping him build confidence and showing him the love and patience he deserves. ❤️

Sprout came home after a VERY full day ready to rest and recharge.

Now we need your help. Today’s grooming bill for Sprout was $73.05. Grooming is an important part of his care, comfort and overall health, and as a 100% donation-based rescue, these expenses add up quickly. If you would like to help us cover Sprout’s grooming bill and continued care, please consider making a secure donation and putting “Sprout” in the notes. Every dollar truly makes a difference. 💚

Hi, I’m Tri Tip, a 4 year old Akita/German Shepherd X who really needs a hero. I’m still getting acclimated to my new surroundings, having been rescued from a shelter where I ended up as a stray with my time there running out. Behind my initial defensive demeanor, I am a sweet and gentle soul, but right now I’m not always able to show it. I am barrier reactive and can be nervous, but once you earn my trust and get me on a leash, you’ll see my true colors shine. I’m making new friends with staff and volunteers, relishing my time in my play yard too. I know basic commands - ‘sit’, ‘down’ and ‘shake’, walk beautifully on a leash and take treats very gently.

It’s not known if I’ll be best buds with other dogs, if I’d get along with cats or if I’d do ok in a home with children. Right now I need a patient and experienced adult to show me that the world isn’t so scary, and that I can feel safe and loved.

I had a challenging start, and I am searching for someone to take a chance on me. I need an understanding family who can provide structure, patience, and lots of love to help me overcome my fears and blossom into the loyal companion I was always meant to be. Could you be the one to unlock my heart and show me what it means to be loved? If you’re willing to open your heart and guide me on my path to healing, you’ll be rewarded with the devoted companionship of a dog who will forever be grateful for the second chance you gave me.
