This Juneteenth, we’re proud to celebrate some of our Black-owned Foster Friendly® businesses across Tennessee that are helping build stronger communities and create belonging for children and families impacted by foster care.

When local businesses choose to become Foster Friendly® they’re helping foster, adoptive, and kinship families feel seen, supported, and valued in the places they live, work, and shop.

Join us in celebrating these businesses and supporting the work they do in their communities. 💙

What if one hour could help make a lasting impact on children and families experiencing foster care?

WRAP Coordinators help mobilize volunteers to support foster, adoptive, and kinship families through practical care, encouragement, and community.

Because while not everyone is called to foster or adopt, everyone can do something.

Through a WRAP Team, volunteers provide:

💙 Words of Encouragement
💙 Respite
💙 Acts of Service
💙 Prayer / Peer Support

This support doesn’t just meet practical needs—it helps reduce isolation, prevent burnout, and reminds caregivers that they are seen, valued, and not alone.

Our one-hour virtual WRAP Coordinator Training on June 24th will equip you with everything you need to get started, including access to free tools, resources, coaching, and our WRAP Coordinator Toolkit.

If you have a heart for serving others and gifts in administration, organization, or mobilizing people, this training may be for you.

Together, we can ensure every foster, adoptive, and kinship family has a community standing beside them.

Comment “WRAP” below and we’ll send you the registration information.

⛈️ Meet Natalee.

Natalee is a kind-hearted young lady who has a big dream for her future: becoming a storm chaser. Ask her about the weather, and she’ll light up. She loves watching The Weather Channel and can tell you all about storm cells, changing weather patterns, and what’s happening in the sky. Her curiosity and enthusiasm are contagious.

When she’s not tracking the forecast, Natalee enjoys dancing, listening to music, and hanging out with friends. She loves animals and hopes to have a pet of her own someday.

Those who know Natalee best describe her as easygoing and someone who makes friends wherever she goes. Most of all, she’s looking forward to meeting a forever family who will encourage her dreams, celebrate her unique interests, and love her for exactly who she is.

A meaningful moment for children and families in Davidson County.

We were honored to receive an official proclamation from the Mayor’s Office recognizing the importance of supporting children, youth, and families impacted by foster care throughout our community. While a proclamation is symbolic, it represents something much bigger: a shared commitment to ensuring every child and family has the support, connection, and sense of belonging they deserve.

We are incredibly grateful to the Mayor’s Office for recognizing Foster Care Awareness Month and for supporting the work of Foster Friendly® Antioch and the Davidson County Foster Friendly® Coalition. This proclamation highlights what we know to be true—when businesses, faith communities, organizations, and individuals come together, we can create a community where foster families are supported, seen and valued.

Thank you to every coalition member, community partner, volunteer, and advocate who is helping make Davidson County more Foster Friendly®. Your collective efforts are creating lasting impact for children and families every day.

Together, we can ensure that no child or family walks this journey alone. 💙

💙 Foster Friendly® Cordova.

Cordova has long been known for its rich tradition of Farms, Flowers, and Fellowship. Now, community members are coming together to add a fourth “F” — Foster Friendly®.

In May, businesses, faith communities, nonprofits, child welfare partners, community leaders, and advocates gathered to officially kick-off Foster Friendly® Cordova — a community-wide movement dedicated to ensuring children and families impacted by foster care are seen, supported, and surrounded by belonging.

The kickoff celebration was more than an event. It was a declaration that no child or family should walk this journey alone and that everyone has a role to play in creating a community where families can thrive.

A special thank you to , our child welfare partners, community leaders, faith communities, businesses, and volunteers who showed up, shared the vision, and said “yes” to supporting foster families in practical ways. We’re especially grateful for for hosting us and , , , and for helping make this celebration possible, including sponsoring the beautiful flowers from and cookies from .bites. A huge thank you to for capturing the event and the support of as well!

When communities come together, belonging becomes possible.

Recently, thanks to the incredible partnership of the and so many generous community partners, a group of amazing kids spent the day at Bridgestone Arena making memories they’ll never forget. They met players, stepped onto the ice, spent time with Gnash, received personalized gifts, and most importantly—were reminded just how valuable they are.

While these experiences are unforgettable, the heart of every I Belong Project® Day is helping children in foster care connect with their forever family.

Today, we’re honored to introduce you to the incredible kids who participated in this special day.

This week, thanks to our amazing community and business partners we had the chance to host an incredible I Belong Project® Day — a day designed to help children waiting for adoptive families feel seen, known, celebrated, and loved.

While these days help us capture the videos and photos that will be used to advocate for each child, the impact goes so much deeper. For many of these kids, it’s an opportunity to simply be a kid, make memories, explore new experiences, and be surrounded by others who believe they matter.

To our incredible community partners, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters - THANK YOU! Your generosity helped create a day these children won’t soon forget.

Because of you, children who have experienced loss, uncertainty, and hardship were reminded that they are worthy of love, belonging, and a bright future.

Stay tuned for more updates on these amazing kids and for an opportunity to SHARE their stories.
