Huge shoutout to our MA referee delegation at the USYS Eastern President’s Cup in Simsbury, CT June 18 - 21! 

Four straight days of competitive matches and non-stop miles. Our crew represented us with top-tier professionalism, resilience, and teamwork from the first whistle to the last.

What a historic day for New England!
Over 30,000 fans packed Gillette Stadium on March 14th to witness
Boston Legacy FC’s professional debut! It was an incredible atmosphere as the community came out in force to celebrate the return of women’s pro soccer.
A special shoutout to the MassRef female referees in attendance—representation matters on and off the pitch!
The energy from the record-breaking crowd proved that Boston is a soccer city.

Please join us in recognizing our very own Tom Supple for his selection as AVAR at the 2025 Major League Soccer Cup last weekend! This is Tom’s second selection for the MLS Cup event, his first being in 2018.
When MLS started in 1995, Tom was one of the first officials selected. He was chosen as a National Referee in 1999 and became part of the FIFA panel in 2004 as an assistant referee. Tom continued refereeing on the FIFA panel until his retirement in 2010.
Tom has officiated a total of nearly 150 MLS regular season games as an AR and 233 games in the video operations room.
Congratulations Tom!
