🇺🇸 Not even the rain could wash away their mission to honor our heroes. 🇺🇸

This Memorial Day weekend, children and teens showed that a little bad weather couldn’t stop them from paying tribute to the brave servicemen and women who gave their lives for our freedom.

When rainy skies put a pause on plans for chalk art, they adapted and got creative—trading sidewalks for posters, signs, and window clings filled with heartfelt messages of gratitude and remembrance.

Calling all families! Come kick off Pride Month with a celebration of kindness, community, and inclusion at this family-friendly service event. Join us for a fun-filled afternoon featuring a pizza party, music, crafts, and a meaningful food drive to support ’s Food Pantry. Whether you’re part of the LGBTQ+ community or a supportive ally, this event is a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, celebrate acceptance, and show kindness to others. This event is open to both residents and non-residents of Franklin Square. Space is limited; Registration required.

Comfy PJs, crafting, and giving back—this was a moms’ night out with a purpose! ❤️ A huge thank you to for leading a fun and relaxing craft class that gave our moms a chance to unwind, connect, and enjoy a creative night together! 🖌️ 🎨

Our Pajama Mamas showed up in their coziest PJs and brought pajama donations for a night centered on community and giving back. Together, moms worked side-by-side packaging pajama and book sets for children in need of support , whose mission is to provide comforting bedtime routines and literacy experiences through pajamas and books.

We’re grateful that our donations will reach local families through one of their distribution partners and we have to give a special thank you to the Franklin Square & North Merrick Girl Scouts for donating books to help make these bedtime bundles extra meaningful. 📚✨ and lastly, we are so grateful for for keeping the library open late for us, so we could bring this event to life!
