Who says you have to wait until December to spread a little holiday cheer? ❤️ Our Sleigh It in Summer service event brought our Howie’s Heart volunteers together to create a little Christmas magic in the middle of summer for our KiDS NEED MoRE families! While crafting thoughtful holiday gifts, our volunteers proved that kindness never goes out of season. 🎄❤️ ☀️ The countdown is on for the Holiday Cheer Bus!

Howie’s 3rd Annual Birthday Bash was an incredible celebration! ❤️ This year, we partnered again with Nassau County SPCA to celebrate DOGUST, the official birthday month for shelter dogs. 🐶🎂

Dad was a huge animal lover and rescued dogs himself, so we know he would have been thrilled to see his birthday celebrated in this way.

One of the biggest highlights was spending time with Diego and his feline friends and celebrating his new lease on life now that he’s found a safe and loving home. 🐾❤️ A special shoutout to Andrea K and her incredible daughter for all they do!

Together, we designed 100 colorful goodie bags and filled them with dog and cat treats and toys to celebrate the joyous moment when local shelter animals find their fur-ever homes. 🐶🐱🏡 But we didn’t stop there! We also created enrichment toys for the birds, rabbits, and guinea pigs living at the SPCA. While they wait for their families, these little ones need stimulation, enrichment, and plenty of love to help them stay happy and healthy. 🐰🐹🦜

If you’ve ever thought about adopting or fostering, please consider Nassau County SPCA. And fostering doesn’t always have to be a long-term commitment—families can even foster for shorter periods of time. Every bit of time, love, and attention makes a difference to an animal waiting for their family.

Let’s do what we can to show kindness to the animals in our community. They’re counting on us. ❤️
