act of kindness has grown into something
truly incredible! 🍩 🧢

We were so honored to welcome Anthony and his amazing family from Operation Hat Drop 🩵🧢, a Long Island organization raising awareness about Alopecia and supporting children and teens facing hair loss throughout our country and beyond. 🧢✨

Anthony’s story is a beautiful reminder that even the smallest gestures can make the biggest difference. After a tough day, Anthony went out to get a donut with his mom and received a hat from a local donut shop. That simple act of kindness inspired his family to pay it forward. Today, Anthony has donated over 5,000 hats to help others feel supported, confident, and seen! 🥹❤️

Our volunteers came together to donate hats and create encouraging gift packs filled with handmade crafts and heartfelt messages to send to hat recipients. Each pack was intended to remind its recipient that they are loved, they are special, and they never have to face their challenges alone. 🧢💌

Thank you for coming together as a team to collect a HUGE box of hats in support of Operation Hat Drop! 🧢👏 Your generosity and teamwork reminds us that kindness is even more powerful when we work together. We are so grateful for your support!

And, of course, we wrapped up our evening with a sweet donut celebration! 🍩 Because at Howie’s Heart, we believe in spreading kindness, celebrating what makes us unique, and reminding everyone that they are enough just as they are. 💕 Donut ever forget how special you are. Donut change who you are to fit in. And donut stop shining! 🍩✨

Connect Four a cause!
Our participants donated games that will be delivered to local inpatient mental health units to help bring comfort, connection, and a little joy to patients during a difficult time. ❤️

Congratulations to our Connect Four tournament winner, Alana! She won a $20 prize — and was asked to use half to her prize money to spread kindness. Instead, Alana shared that she plans to donate her entire $20 to a cancer research organization in memory of relatives she lost due to cancer!❤️

This is exactly what Howie’s Heart is all about — turning kindness into action and showing that even the smallest gesture can make a difference.

We were so proud to be part of the Found Joy Project with Girl Scout Troop 1386, a Silver Award Project created to spread kindness, encourage positive thinking, and help build self-esteem.

The girls focused on something that matters so much: mental health and the importance of reminding one another that we are valued, supported, and never alone. 💛

As part of the project, participants created zines — mini magazines filled with positive messages, encouragement, and little reminders of joy. These special messages will now be hidden throughout our community, waiting to be discovered by someone who may need them at just the right moment. ✨

You never know what someone else may be going through. Sometimes, a few kind words can make a bigger difference than we realize. We love seeing young people turn kindness into action. ❤️
