Food cupboard received donations today 🥫, including some perishable items that require refrigeration 🧊. If you could use a little extra support 🤝to get through until your next paycheck, please feel free to check the cupboard. 💛

🥫🍽️Rose Sharman, Outsourced Business Operations Manager, presented a Yeo & Yeo Foundation check to Restore Food Cupboard, a ministry of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church & School in Frankenmuth. With shelves often emptied due to high demand, these funds will help keep the pantry stocked with essential non‑perishables, baby food, dairy, and fresh produce for neighbors in need.

We are feeling incredibly grateful today and want to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who has helped keep the Restore Food Cupboard stocked this winter! 🥫❄️

Thank you to St. Lorenz School Junior High, Thrivent Action Team grants that our amazing community and church members wrote for, Bronner Performing Arts, Bavarian Inn, and Frankenmuth Credit Union for your generous donations. Your support truly makes a difference and helps ensure our cupboard is here for those who need it.

Because of these donations, we’ve been able to fill the cupboard daily—and it’s getting a lot of use this winter, which tells us just how important it is. With that said, we are still in need of ongoing donations from the community to keep it stocked.

If you’d like to donate, you can place food and items directly inside the cupboard. Please don’t leave items in front of it, as they will freeze. The good news is the cupboard now has a heat source, so items placed inside will stay protected.

If you have a donation that’s too large to fit, we do have storage space available—just send us a message here on Facebook, and we’ll happily meet you to get items stored for restocking.

To those who use the food cupboard: we’re so glad it’s there for you 🤍 Please remember to take only what you need so there are items available for others who may also need a helping hand.

This community continues to show up in the most meaningful ways, and we are so thankful for each and every one of you. What an amazing place we live—coming together to care for one another. 💙✨

There is help available for you and your family

We were disheartened to learn that those on Food Assistance may not be able to access their benefits, and we never want anyone to go hungry.
Next Tuesday, starting at 3PM, Woodchips BBQ (supported by Lightning Rounds and Kookys N Cream) will be providing approx. 200 free Carry Out chicken dinners to anyone in need of a hot meal. No questions asked.

Additionally, we would like to highlight and support some amazing local charities that offer to support to those hitting a rough patch. So we will be collecting donations and we will MATCH $ for $ up to $1000 for Stone Soup Food Bank, Good Samaritans, and The Refuge

While it's been a tough stretch for a lot of people and businesses, together, as a community, we can always look out for and take care of each other.

If Food Assistance continues to remain in Jeopardy, we will look to make this a weekly event until they are restored.

🌿 Help Keep the Restore Food Cupboard Stocked All Week! 🌿

We’re so grateful for everyone who donates to the Restore Food Cupboard — your generosity helps our neighbors in need every day. ❤️

Our team loads and restocks the cupboard on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so we’re asking our community to consider making donations on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

👉 This helps ensure that food is being added throughout the entire week, keeping the cupboard full and available for anyone who needs it — especially as more families may be feeling the effects of reduced food benefits.

We also want to give a special thank you to Thrivent — through the generosity and efforts of community members, multiple grants have been written and funded, helping us continue to keep Restore stocked and serving our neighbors. 💛

If you or someone you know is in need of food, there’s also a wonderful weekly food distribution at Trinity Assembly of God in Mount Morris:

🗓 Every Friday morning (except on holiday Fridays)
🕤 Distribution starts at 9:30 AM, but the line forms early.
🍎 You’ll share how many people are in your family and often receive fresh fruits and veggies — a great complement to what’s available in the cupboard.

You can find more info on Trinity Assembly of God’s website or their page - Trinity Food distribution!

Thank you for helping us keep Restore a place of hope, nourishment, and community care. 💚
