Cummings Foundation $100,000 grant
launches Womb to 5 Program in Framingham
Daniel’s Table is honored to be a recipient of a $100,000 Cummings Foundation grant.
This grant from the Cummings Foundation, in combination with a grant from the Yawkey Foundation and donations from dozens of Metrowest residents will help Daniel’s Table launch, in collaboration with Jewish Family Service of Metrowest, our new program Womb to 5.
Womb to 5 is a long term initiative that will combine nutrition and social service interventions to ensure proper nutrition will be available to expectant mothers, newborns and their growing family.
By committing to providing assistance during the first five years of the life of a child, and including the whole family, it opens the door for Daniel’s Table to provide fresh vegetables, fruits, high quality protein and grains that will help promote healthy child growth and mental development.
Selected families will also receive nutritional counseling, free cooking classes, group led support and a personalized food ordering website that will encourage access to healthier food alternatives
Daniel’s Table and Jewish Family Service of Metrowest strongly believe this innovative approach will help our community’s most vulnerable expectant mothers thrive and their children, when entering kindergarten, will be healthy and ready to learn.
Thank you Cummings Foundation! This support will help impact a generation of our children and in turn the Framingham Community for years to come.
This program needs your ongoing support too. Together we can make sure that every child in our community has a healthy start.
