Foxborough Community Farmstand Supporting those facing food insecurity-our senior citizens, veterans, and local food pantries with fresh vegetables

Open daily while supplies last.

Vegetables will be on the porch of the red barn daily on a “take what you need leave what you can” basis. Our Mission

The Foxborough Community Farmstand is a non profit organization that is fully staffed by volunteers. We offer the freshest vegetables grown by our dedicated volunteers and from local farms. Profits are donated to the Foxborough Discretionary Fund. We hope you will join us in the spirit of “Feeding Foxborough”. Your continued support is necessary and appreciated. NOW FOR A LITTLE HISTORY...
According to Town Historian Jack Authelet, the spot which the farmstand and garden are on is rich in Foxboro agricultural history. In 1914, the Foxborough State Hospital was opened and shortly thereafter a working farm was started at the Walnut Street location to produce fresh vegetables and dairy products for the hospital. Patients would be driven down to the farm each morning to go to work. The farm produced a large amount of food for the Foxborough State Hospital. There were cows on the farm and this helped produce milk products for the hospital. The garden was a great source of fresh food at a reduced cost for the state; in fact, during a "good season" the state would actually process and can some of the vegetables from the garden and offer them for sale under the state hospital label. The patients found it very enjoyable to work on the farm and in the garden. It also proved to be good therapy. Now, a century later, the farmstand and garden still brings people to work together for the common good of helping our neighbors. The farmstand and garden is completely staffed by volunteers of all ages from the community. The success depends on the support of volunteers and volunteers are needed at this time. AS OF 9-18 PORCH IS CLOSED FOR THE SEASON

We’re so grateful to everyone that donated to our honor system.

We hope you enjoyed the vegetables that our volunteers grew from seed 😊.

Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers that helped us accomplish our goal of supporting those in need this summer. Check back to see a breakdown of the donations we were able to make and for other updates….we’re happy to take a break but are excited for next season!

We had visitor to keep Earle and Connie company while washing veggies this morning

* PLEASE NOTE- We will not picking again until SATURDAY. And that will most likely be our last day for picking produce 😢 But keep watching Facebook the garden has been surprising us all summer.

We also have some delicious yellow and zucchini squash and fresh green beans (in the fridge)

Our volunteers are picking Saturday,9/5 and the porch will
be re-stocked then. Look for more tomatoes, yellow squash, zucchini, green beans, jalapeños, and flowers.
