We are excited to share that West Central Indiana Amateur Radio has been awarded a $5,825 grant from Amateur Radio Digital Communications - ARDC!
This grant will help us continue improving and strengthening our linked repeater system and supporting infrastructure across West Central Indiana and beyond. Funding from this grant will go toward upgraded networking equipment and redundancy improvements to help increase the reliability of our system.
These upgrades will better support amateur radio operators, public service events, emergency communications, Skywarn operations, and the communities we serve.
We would like to sincerely thank ARDC for supporting our mission and believing in the work we are doing. We also want to give a special thank you to Benton County Emergency Management Agency - Indiana and the Tippecanoe Amateur Radio Association for writing letters of support for this grant.
We are also grateful for the many organizations and groups we have had the opportunity to work with, including W9SMJ Amateur Radio, WB9ARC Amateur Radio, W9AMT Amateur Radio, Porter County Amateur Radio Club/District 1 Skywarn, W9ARP Amateur Radio, Tippecanoe County ARES, and many more.
The continued support, cooperation, and encouragement from the amateur radio and emergency communications community means a great deal to us. Working together not only strengthens our communications capabilities, but also helps promote and grow the amateur radio hobby for current and future operators.
There is still a lot of work ahead, but this is a big step forward for our organization, our linked repeater system, and the communities we serve.
Thank you for your continued support!
