September Game Day + Thrift Store Sale!
Saturday, September 12 | 10:00 AM–4:00 PM

Looking for a fun way to spend your Saturday? Join us at the Fountain Valley Senior Center for another fantastic Game Day filled with good food, cards, games, laughter, and great company!

And there’s a bonus! Our Thrift Store will also be open from 10:00 AM–3:00 PM, so be sure to stop in and see what treasures you can find!

Admission & Registration
Members: $5 + a dish to share
Non-Members: $10 + a dish to share

Please register in advance by calling the Senior Center at 719-600-2644. When you register, let us know what dish you plan to bring.

A Few Quick Reminders

Game Day is a community event, and we won’t have volunteers available for food service or cleanup. Please help us keep the day running smoothly by cleaning up after yourself.

Also, don’t forget to take home any leftovers from the dish you brought!

The Fountain Valley Senior Center will be CLOSED on Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day.

Please remember that this closure includes ALL Senior Center services and activities, including transportation services. There will be no scheduled rides or transportation available through FVSC on September 7.

If you normally rely on Senior Center transportation, please plan ahead for appointments and other needs around the holiday closure.

We will reopen for regular hours and services on Tuesday, September 8.

Help Shape the Future of Aging Services in Our Community!

The Fountain Valley Senior Center is proud to host the Pikes Peak Area Agency on Aging (PPAAA) Community Conversation as they develop their next Four-Year Area Plan.

We love those two words: Community. Conversation. Because that is exactly what this should be.

This opportunity comes only every few years, and PPAAA's decision to select FVSC as a host site for southeastern El Paso County is significant. This is our community's opportunity to make sure the needs, priorities, and experiences of people in our part of the county are heard as decisions about future aging services and funding are made.

And this conversation is open to the greater community!

We welcome older adults, caregivers, family members, service providers, community partners, local leaders, and anyone who cares about how our region supports people as they age. We especially encourage older adults and caregivers themselves to participate.

Transportation. Caregiving. Meals and nutrition. Aging at home. Access to services. Social connection. Independence. These issues shouldn't be discussed only about older adults—they should be discussed with them and informed by them.

Our call to the entire community is simple: SHOW UP. SPEAK UP. BRING ANOTHER VOICE WITH YOU.

A strong turnout will not only help Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments and PPAAA understand what southeastern El Paso County needs—it will demonstrate the strength, engagement, and potential of the community FVSC represents.

Please share this post with your friends, neighbors, organizations, churches, caregivers, and older adults throughout the Fountain Valley and southeastern El Paso County. The more voices at the table, the stronger our community's voice will be.

Come join us for a fun day trip to Garden of the Gods on Friday, September 4! The bus will leave the Fountain Valley Senior Center at 10:30 a.m. Cost is $20 per person for members and $30 per person for non-members, with members receiving priority registration. After exploring Garden of the Gods, we'll enjoy lunch together at your own expense. Space is limited, so be sure to register by September 2 to reserve your spot. Come enjoy the beautiful Colorado scenery, great company, and a wonderful day out!

Silver Key Senior Services Connections Café is hosted Monday- Friday at the Fountain Valley Senior Center. A donation of $3.50 is suggested to help cover the cost of the meal. Please register the day before, so we have enough meals for everyone. You do not have to be a Senior Center member to enjoy the meal when you are 60 years old and above!
