📌 Announcement: Aloka Peace Foundation — Carrying Light for All Beings
Every great mission begins with a single choice. For Aloka, that choice was made on the streets of India in 2022, when a nameless stray dog decided to follow a group of venerable monks on a journey for peace. At that time, he had no home, no reason to trust, and every reason to give up. Though he survived being hit by a car and overcame severe illness, his spirit never faltered; he simply kept walking.
The venerable monks named him Aloka—meaning "Light" in Pali—and together they walked 2,300 miles across America.

Millions were captivated by the heart-shaped marking on his forehead and the unbreakable spirit of peace he represents.
Today, we honor that journey by announcing the Aloka Peace Foundation. We are deeply inspired by Aloka’s transformation—from a struggling stray to a beloved companion living in safety and peace. Seeing his happiness has inspired us to extend that same protection to animals in need everywhere. We are dedicated to compassion in action, ensuring every animal has the chance to be seen, loved, and live in peace.

We warmly invite everyone to immerse yourselves in the profound stillness and peace of our upcoming Grand Candle Lighting Ceremony. Together, we will light 24,000 candles, creating a radiant sea of light to send our shared prayers for world peace and harmony to every corner of the world.
Following the lighting ceremony, we will join together in a Loving-Kindness Meditation, opening our hearts to cultivate compassion for ourselves and all living beings.
