I would like to have several of you offer your interpretation of the following:
“Be doers of the word and not hearers only”
The meaning seems obvious but God has given me a specific word for this phrase along with several other examples so I would like your thoughts first before I reveal what I feel God said to me. Then I pray we can discuss it. There is only one assumption and that is you believe in God.

Does Satan go to church?
I will provide my answer but I would like to hear from you first.

Fear offers excuses, not listening justifies them. The excuse is: I didn’t hear you but the fact is you didn’t listen.

Dream: I was walking and talking with God. I was obviously in an unfamiliar area and in an area that was a little dark when I suddenly fell into a pit. I was yelling out for help when suddenly a person showed up, they reach down to help me but the pit was too deep. They said sorry “I” can’t help you because “I” can’t reach you, so they left.

I continued to cry out for help and many others showed up with the same results, “they” couldn’t reach me, so they left.

Finally I looked up and noticed a man lowering a ladder into the pit allowing me to climb out. I was so thankful that he was there to help.

The man said “I don’t understand why no one ask me for help because I was only a few feet away working on the communication lines and I had the right equipment to help get you out of the pit”.

How ironic that the rescuer was working on the communication lines, had the proper equipment and was willing to help but the lack of communication is what prevented me from being rescued earlier. Many will hear but few will listen.

In the Scriptures it was recorded the coming of the Messiah.
While He was here most of the religious leaders refused to believe.
There were religious leaders who refused to believe even after witnessing the miracles themselves.
Many religious leaders today are no different than the religious leaders over 2000 years ago.
What must God do to get your attention?

The other morning I prayed “God please give me courage” and He suddenly reminded me of this: if someone prays for courage, does God give them courage, or does He give them opportunities to be courageous?

I am not much of a reader but that being said I am almost finished completely reading the bible for the first time. It seems to me that the last few chapters of Zachariah describe what is going on in Israel right now.

Jesus was sent to save the world but the world didn’t kill Him, His own people did.

I have heard people ask the following question: “What happens to the people who died before Jesus came or people who have never heard the gospel?”

Most often I have received the following answers:

1. God is in everyone’s heart.
2. Take a look around and see that God is evident in everything.

I just read several articles about this very question that discussed Inclusivity, Exclusivism and every one of them wants to offer an explanation. Why do we feel we need to know everything or have an answer to everything? Isn’t that what faith is all about?

I feel God recently laid these thought on my heart:

1. First is the Rapture then the Tribulation.
2. What is the purpose of the Tribulation? Isn’t it basically to give those left behind a second chance to accept Christ?

We know that God is a fair and just God, so if He gives those during the Tribulation a second chance then why would we not believe He would give all the others who had never heard the gospel also a second chance?

Have faith & trust Him.
