Thanks to the members of Scenic Shores Neighborhood Assoc and Nick!

It was a nice morning to pickup trash in support of the FW Cowtown clean up. A lot of that trash ends up on our shorelines and thankful to those who were out there picking it up…18 bags, plus large items. Pics from Goat Island.

Mark your calendars for our next meeting!

WHAT:
The SH 199 Lake Worth bridge project is scheduled to open a new section of westbound SH 199 mainlanes between Surfside Drive and FM 1886/Confederate Parkway on Monday, Mar. 23 (weather permitting). The project is also scheduled to open both the Rankin Road cross street under SH 199 and the Surfside Drive cross street and turnaround lanes under SH 199 on Tuesday, Mar. 24. Please be courteous as we resume garbage, recycling, and bulk waste collections, this week. Make sure your extra bags are securely tied and placed curbside beside your brown garbage cart by 7:00 a.m. on your collection day. There is an increase in volume of waste for disposal being collected that may cause some delays or require multiple passes through your area.

🍃 Yard waste collections are temporarily suspended this week (Feb. 2-6) to help support the collections of bulk, garbage, and recycling from last week's canceled routes due to winter weather and road conditions.

👉 The carts and the extra bags may get picked up at different times. The mechanical trucks cannot collect the bags, as it may cause the bags to tear producing litter. This requires different crews to come by to collect the extra bags separately from the carts.

🙏 Be understanding and only report a missed collection if crews have not picked up all of your garbage or recycling by 7 p.m. Use the convenient MyFW App and report it from your mobile device.
