A question I saw this morning brought up some thoughts. If a man doesn’t respect the patch on his back, why is he even wearing it? There are a great many these days that, as I like to put, are wearing a costume. Men put in hours, blood and sweat to earn their patches. When they do finally earn them, they’re proud of them. Over time, a lot of them start to lose their love for their colors. Yet they stay. That’s when it becomes a costume. That’s the point they need to lay their colors down or learn to love their colors once more. It’s a choice that needs to be made before it’s made for you. This life isn’t for everyone. However, if you choose this life, make it your own. If there’s issues in your life that are pulling you away, you have Brothers to go to that will help you fix them or lend an ear. You chose your club family and worked hard to get where you are. Don’t let it go because of stubbornness or just getting bored. Build your family and make it stronger. Make it something you’re once again proud of. When I’m old and grey, I’ll still proclaim love for my Brothers and my colors.

Your word is your bond, etched in leather and steel.
A promise of backup, of what is real.
When a brother is stranded, you pull to the side.
You share in his journey, you share in the ride.
Respect is not given, it's earned by the mile,Through gravel and rain, with a nod and a smile.
You stand by your club and you stand by your crew.
And treat every rider the way they treat you.

They aren't just handed out on a whim.
No easy prize for the faint of heart.
They are forged in the shadows of trials dim.
And stitched by the lessons that mark your part.
For every patch that finds its place,
Is proof of the sweat, the grit, the fight,
Of stumbling down, yet keeping pace.
And pushing through to the morning light.
A patch is a tale of the miles you've riden.
A silent nod to the work you've done.
It can’t be bought, and it can’t be given
It is simply the mark of a life well-driven.

Girl: OH you ride a motorcycle.

Me: Yep

Girl: my husband is fixing 2 of them & wants me to ride but I'm scared. 😱
Do you get scared?

Me: I get asked that question all the time & I always respond with a question of my own...
Them: Are you scared to die?
Me: Are you scared to LIVE?

Girl... yeah that's fair. 💯

We’re always looking for more like us. Men that aren’t scared to live.

Some people will never understand why we do this…
and that’s alright.

They’ll see the patches…
the meetings…
the rules…
the miles…
and think it’s too much.

“What’s the point?”

The point is…
this isn’t about convenience.
It’s not about doing whatever you feel like that day.

It’s about earning your place.

It’s about knowing the man next to you didn’t just show up when it was easy…
he showed up when it was inconvenient, uncomfortable, and inconvenient again the next day.

It’s about accountability.
It’s about loyalty.
It’s about standing on something that actually means something.

Anybody can ride a motorcycle.
Not everybody can carry a name, a set of colors, and everything that comes with it.

Because when you wear it…
you don’t just represent yourself anymore.
You represent your brothers, your chapter, and everything that came before you.

That’s a weight some people don’t want.
That’s a responsibility some people can’t handle.

And that’s exactly why it matters.

So if you’re the type that just wants to ride free with no expectations—do it. No disrespect.

But if you’re looking for something deeper…
something with structure, purpose, and brotherhood behind it…

Then you already know this life isn’t just about the ride.

It’s about what you stand for when you’re off the bike too.

Been a good day. My brother Ferret stopped by on his way thru town this morning. My brother Ody got here a little after lunch and we put in some serious wrench time on my ultra. Doing a motor build, cam swap, pipe work and the next couple weekends gonna build the new transmission. Maybe a couple more weekends on getting some extra new toys installed (a lot of new electrical work) and she’ll be back on the road meaner and better than ever.

For those looking for a club to call home, Nordic Knights MC is looking for good men to join us. We’ve been asked many times if we allow men of different races. To that we only have one answer. A man’s skin color doesn’t mean anything. What a man stands for and what’s in his heart is what means something. We’ve been asked if we only allow Harley’s. As long as your bike meets size requirements, we allow American, metric, sport and trikes. As long as both trike tires are in the back. So if you like to talk with us, send a msg and we can talk a life with Nordic Knights MC.
