Partnerships create impact! Thanks Nexgen Belize, and Derrick Parham | DP Construction!!

NEXGEN Proudly Supports Camalote Students!

We were honored to contribute school bags to the Camalote Back to School Drive this past Sunday, August 23rd.

A special thank you to Mr. Parham for inviting us to partner with the Youth Empowerment & Affirmation Hub (Y.E.A.H.) for this event. Seeing the joy on the students' faces reminds us why supporting our youth matters so much!💙

💎THANK YOU, TEXAS PYTHIAN HOME!💎

Y.E.A.H. extends our heartfelt gratitude to Texas Pythian Home, Inc., our Diamond Sponsor for 2026!

Your cheerful giving helped us exceed our 2026 goal and provide an abundance of backpacks and school supplies to children and families in 4 impoverished communities in Belize. This year we served a total of 354 children. Your belief in and commitment to investing in Y.E.AH’s mission of empowering our youth is truly appreciated.

Texas Pythian Home, we are grateful for your partnership and for helping us to be the change we all want to see in the world!

3rd Stop 📍Was supposed to be Placencia but Placencia came to us. Coincidentally, they were coming to Camalote for a retreat. What are the odds!

We planned again…God laughed again!
The Big Man knew I was tired though🥰…long working days and sleepless nights.

2 of our 7 barrels didn’t arrive in Belize until Friday 08.28.2026 (5 weeks😩)so these supplies weren’t included in the Camalote & Seine Bight villages’ distributions. We ensured though that essential items, needed for children to start the new school year, were included in our earlier 5 barrels and added to all our backpacks.

We thus had the tough task of deciding if we should distribute the school supplies, who we should distribute to, or to secure them for next year’s distribution. The ultimate decision came after speaking with some donors. Distribute!! We decided to split into three & blessed:
- Seine Bight
- Placencia
- Punta Gorda.
In addition, Placencia received a few pairs of shoes and socks from a previous request.

We are thankful to Ms Lovey Eiley, Principal of St.John's Memorial Anglican Primary School in Placencia for transporting her school’s donation as well as GARIU’s (Dr Enita Barrett - Seine Bight). Punta Gorda’s went via bus.

Truly thankful to Llianne Wickham, owner of Custom Made by LV, and Texas Pythian Home for the abundance of school supplies. They arrived right on God’s time so that the 3 communities could be blessed with much needed items.💕💕

2nd Stop 📍Seine Bight Village, Stann Creek District, Belize
31 of 354 backpacks w/ school supplies distributed (2026)

On Wednesday, our group of three women, lead by Ms Therese Arzu of Belmopan, took a trip to southern Belize to gift children in need with a few backpacks and school supplies. This trip served as an introduction to the work that’s being done to empower youths in Seine Bight Village. It was such an honor to be in the presence of Dr Enita Barrett & the children of GARIU Literacy Program who welcomed us with drumming and melodious Garifuna songs. Dr Barrett runs Tuba Bouda Community Literacy and Homework Hub, a family funded program that is free of charge to the children of the community. We appreciate the warm welcome they gave, and the attentiveness of the children. In addition, we must commend Dr Barrett for returning to Belize, putting in the work even when no one is clapping, and for serving in the very community she grew up in.

Feel free to reach out to Dr Barrett to learn more of her work or to support her mission.

298 of 354 backpacks w/ school
supplies distributed

We are overwhelmed with joy and gratitude for the incredible turnout for our backpack distribution! Seeing the big smiles, warm hugs, and joyful cheers reminds us exactly why we do this from year to year.

A heartfelt thank you to each and every one of our donors, our amazing teams, and our friend Jarell Velasquez for making this event so special. We couldn’t have done it without everyone who showed up, gave back, and poured into our community. Here’s to making a difference, one backpack and one smile at a time! ✨

On behalf of DP Construction (Derrick Parham), and Youth Empowerment & Affirmation Hub - YEAH, we’d also like to extend a special thank you to the incredible organizations and community partners whose generous donations played a major role in making our backpack drive a success.
