We are the local unit of a statewide (TMTA) and national organization (MTNA).

FWMTA is a non-profit educational organization representing music teachers in private studios, public and private schools, and institutions of higher education. We aim to further the art of music through teaching,
performance, composition and scholarly research.

We had our wonderful first members meeting of the year on Friday, September 5! It was great for our old and new members to meet as we kick off the new school year. We were delighted to have Elizabeth Gutierrez share her insightful work Piano Passport with us. Special thanks to Steinway Piano Gallery of Fort Worth for hosting the event.

We are participating in North Texas Giving Day this year! Get the word out and encourage your students and friends support our work by making a donation. Funds raised will support our annual student scholarship programs.

Our annual Honors Recital is tomorrow evening, June 10 at 7:30, downtown at Steinway Piano Gallery of Fort Worth. We are looking forward to this showcase of FWMTA talent!
