27 Aug 2020 -- With a heavy heart, we are shutting down and calling it quits. After 16 years of service we are at a crossroads, and this journey unfortunately comes to an end.

We would like to thank the community and all of our volunteers for their assistance and support over the years, we could not have done it without you.

If you adopted a cat from us we will continue to honor our return policy as best we can.

Winter PSA:
We don't like seeing homeless animals, but sometimes leaving them where they are is the best option. Feral cats that might have it tough, but can survive the winter, will most likely will be euthanized if taken to a shelter.

Can cats survive winter outdoors? Community cats, also called outdoor, stray or feral cats thrive outside, even in winter weather—but you can help. Get winter weather safety advice like this and more tips about food, water, and shelter during the cold, snowy season.

We need you to make one phone call or send one email to allow us to keep helping our area with low cost spay, neuter and vaccines.

Please call Representative Drew Springer by Friday of this week at 512-463-0526 to let him know that H.B.3806 isn't good for Texas people and their pets.

You can also email him at: https://house.texas.gov/members/member-page/email/?district=68&session=86

This pending legislation would dramatically limit TCAP's ability to help many people and their pets with important, life saving wellness services by limiting many of our wellness services to only citizens who are enrolled in state or federal aid programs. This would be a devastating set back to Texas animal welfare. There's a hearing Monday of next week. Please call today.

H.B. 3806 is bad for Texas people and pets.

It's important that you call soon to let Texas Representative know that H.B. 3806 shouldn't be introduced.

You can read H.B. 3806 in its entirety here: https://www.texasforthem.org/hb3806/

Has Darwin's pet food ever been recalled? Yes. There have been numerous recalls over the years. The FDA says there is a "pattern of contamination."
