This group of folks are committed to making a huge impact in the lives of so many people living with health challenges in Tarrant County. Texas Health Community Hope team members and multiple nonprofits working on innovative program development already working in these areas came together to strengthen and encourage each other. This THR team leads so well and puts their resources behind their hearts. Not just funding, but expertise and support. Collaboration and innovation are the keys to building effective and lasting solutions to real health challenges in our communities. We are excited to be working with this team!

The Storehouse Stride 5K event was an awesome event this year. We had more than 300 registered runners and another 77 kids for the Chick-fil-A nugget run to kick off the event! So many wonderful volunteers made this event possible. Even when the original event date was rained out, we had an awesome turnout on the new date. This event raise a significant amount of money to directly impact the neighbors served every day at Central Storehouse! Thank you volunteers, staff, and runners for making such a great impact in Fort Worth and beyond!

What an amazing afternoon serving neighbors through our W.O.W. program at Riverside Coworking at Center For Transforming Lives. We were honored to graduate three of our participants, each seeing significant improvements in their health in the six months they attended this program. Our friends at Worth Baptist Church were so generous to donate air fryers to the graduates this spring.

What a day! The Fort Worth Police Department showed up today. 43 recruits were lead to join Central Storehouse to serve the community that they will be protecting and serving in the days ahead. This gave them an opportunity to learn about a resource for families they will come across who are in great need, and have the opportunity to be boots on the ground to meet and love on the very neighbors in the city they will be serving. They did an amazing job and have amazing leadership who are shaping the next generation of police officers in our great city. Police trainers, community engagement unit specialists, police athletic league leadership, and more from the department showed up to support this next generation. What a gift our police department is to the city! We were grateful to have them help us accomplish the mission of loving neighbors, feeding souls.

Love to celebrate great fellow nonprofits. The Welman Project is a gift the education. They take others junks and transform them into educational tools for educators and parents. Talk about impacting the next generation for good. Their selves might look familiar if you are a long time Central Storehouse fan. 22 sets of shelves came from our previous market when we moved into our new building. There is a picture of Ana who led the charge on building all the shelving. Whew! We donated them to The Welman Project for their new building to support their amazing mission.
